Default Making an ornament

So I have the basic supplies...

Clear bulb
Window sheets
Ribbon
Fake snow
etc.

My question is do I just cut one small piece of the window sheet to put in there or should I cut it so it fits around the whole bulb on the inside?

You cut it in a circle that is the same size as if you had cut the ball in half. Cut it with a bit of a "neck" on it so you have something to hold on to when you are inserting it. You roll it up, stick it into the ornament (holding on to the neck), and it will unfold by itself. Because it is as big as the biggest part of the inside and because of the neck, it should "stand" upright, but I usually funnel a little sparkly fake snow on either side of the transparency which gives it something to sit in.

I hope this makes sense -- sounds like gibberish now that I read it!

I know bulbs are different sizes, but the ones I use fit a 2" circle perfectly. So I puch out a circle using cardstock for my template. Don't forget to add a little notch at the top, to hold your acetate in place. Also I would add the snow at the end, so you can get it on both sides. We did these for MOPS last year, and some ladies put their snow in first and couldn't get it on both sides. HTH

You girls make it sound so easy. I've thought about trying it a few times for a craft fair I do for Christmas. Is it really as easy as you say?

Yes they are really easy! Like I said, we did these for a group of 80 ladies for
MOPS last year.Check out the gallery under Anything but a Card and then Trim the Tree. There are lots of great examples.

These ornaments are so easy. They were one of the projects I demoed at my Christmas stamp camp last Christmas. My beginner stampers didn't have any problems with them. They all turned out beautifully.
