Default Male sympathy???

I need help????What stamp set do you use for male sympathy...or do you just use flowers for those also??? I have summer by the sea..and thought that the couple was a good choice? Now I'm second guessing myself. So what would you use...has to be male related....

Do you have Lovely As A Tree?

I don't see anything wrong with using flowers on a male card.

I have one in my gallery that I think would be in a suitable style. Here's the link:

I think the Copper Overload would make a nice one. I was going to suggest leaves.

I think Coast to Coast would work very well for a masculine sympathy card.

I think whatever you pick will be fine. If you use flowers just go with more of an Earth Element color combo instead of something in Bold Brights or Soft Subtles. Remember, it is the thought that you cared enough to send a card that really counts!

All Natural would work, too. It's one of my favorite sets because it's so unbelievably versatile.

Julyn, The set is Art of Life. I think it was a Hostess Appreciation set. I think you could do a similar layout with any leaf stamp, though.

Default Male Sympathy/All that I have Seen

I use the leaf in the "All that I have Seen" set. Very soothing, not too feminine. I don't have access to a picture of it right now, but I made a card using the Canvas Stamped in Old Olive on mellow moss for the background, made an ivory matchbook stamped with that leaf in old olive, mounted it on black. Tied a jute bow on it and mounted it to the Canvas background. Clear as mud?! Probably not! LOL Anyway, it turned out REALLY nice.

Good Luck!

I usually use leaves or trees for a masculine sympathy card.

With this one I used copper embossing with Fantastic Foilage.

I'd recommend any sets with leaves/trees (many great ones have been named in this thread). Also, IMO I'd stick with blacks, greys, navy blue or dark green with white/vanilla as a color scheme.
