Default Metallic Pencils - what neat things have you done with them?

Trying to decide if I want them. I know you can color in stamped images on dark colored cardstock. Also, what colors do you get in the metallic pencils? Thanks for the time and info! Ashley "The Cat's Meow"

"You can get the most beautiful effects with our metallic pencils. These artist-quality pencils come in a package of 12 colours that blend easily with each other, and they are acid free-a great choice for scrapbooking."

Besides coloring on dark cardstock I've also used them to color in on "Shrinky Dink" or "PolyShrink" and once shrunk the color does not come off or smudge. Really cool look.

As well you can use them when doing crayon resist....just use like the crayon and carefully wipe off the excess ink. ie. metallic stays there and really looks nice.

Hope to hear more.

Default metallic markers

A couple of years ago I did a "make & take" at a store. The owner showed a neat technique. You must have the marker with a slanted tip (chisel tip). Use a sharp craft knife to cut a slit across the broad side. It should be little deeper than 1/8 inch. Then insert the edge of the cardstock - tag, mat, whatever - and drag it through this slit. Voila! An instant metallic border - straight, even, and not as bulky as another layer of paper.

This is difficult to explain - hope you get the idea - or maybe someone else can clarify it.

Default

I learned a really pretty technique at the MN SCS gathering. Stamp an image on a window sheet (aka transparency or acetate) with StazOn. Sand the other side lightly to rough it up. Then color on the rough side with the metallic pencils. Adhere to dark cardstock. It looks beautiful and sparkly - just like as if you had used pearlex, but without the mess! You can adhere it with spray adhesive or by running it through a xyron.
