in my limited experience with michaels/ac moore, the weeks after Christmas are a DESERT when it comes to coupons. but hang in there, ladies. they will be back. i seem to get more coups from joann fabrics, and my michaels takes those as well as ac moore. we'll just have to wait them out!!!
I asked at Michaels today about coupons since there was not one last week either. She told me that after Christmas they only put the coupons out every other week and no coupons the weeks of their 50% off sales or $1.00 days. So being that last week was a 50% off sale there was no coupon and then this week would be the off week. This means next week they will have an ad as well as a coupon. Thank goodness. I need to spend this Christmas money! :o) Hope this helps!!

Tore the paper apart looking for one and didn't see it! I needed one for framing! !
No Michaels coupons this week in the Chicago area but there was one for JoAnn Fabrics, which had a 50% off coupon for custom framing, good through 1/29.
Also included in the JoAnn's ad was one 40% off coupon, and TWO 50% off coupons - one good Friday and Saturday (14th and 15th), and another one for Sunday and Monday (16th & 17th).

When in question, visit www.michaels.com, and they have a weekly ad tab that you can click to see if there is an ad in your local paper.
That's what I do when there isn't a color insert and I don't feel like turning the paper inside out!

Usually when there isn't a glossy circular, the ad will always run in a specific section of the paper -- generally in the fine living section, which probably has slightly different names in different newspapers.
The online versions of the weekly ads DON'T have coupons! :(

I live in Canada, but I called my local Micheal's and they told me there wouldn't be another one until the end of January. :( I'm not sure if they run the same, but maybe it will give you some sort of indication. :?
No, the on-line ones don't have the coupons, but at least you can see if there is an ad, and not waste time (and money) going to get a paper (if you're like me and don't have one delivered) and then there not be a coupon
We didn't have a Michaels coupon either. I tore our paper apart looking for it to no avail. Glittergal, our Michaels doesn't take Joanns to my knowledge, but Joanns does take the Michaels coupons.
