How do you get on a mailing list for Michael's brochures to get 40-50% off coupons? I got a Xyron for Christmas from my wonderful caring DH and will need refills. Thanks for any help. Sarah
Same in Virginia. Just keep checking your local papers. Or call a Michael's store close to you and ask what day their ad appears in the paper and which one. Happy shopping.
Same thing here in Minnesota I get mine in the Sunday paper.

Our paper didn't have a Michael's coupon this week, just the ad. But I did get the flyer mailed from JoAnn's and they didn't have what I needed, but Michael's did have the item and took the coupon from JoAnn's. So if one doesn't have it ask their compettitor.
I had a bad experience with LA Times and Michaels- I subscribed to LA Sunday Times just for the coupons- AND to my Major disapointment- There was No Michaels Ad in my newspaper. I e-mailed Michaels and called them- They said they would get me coupons.
Well a few weeks later, I got a letter from Michaels corp- They would not send me any flyers cause the LA times in My area carried the ads.
Well I immediatly got on the phone to LA times and complained- I had yet to get a Sunday times with a Michaels Ad. Here is what they told me
They only get so many ads per week, So my area my not have gotten enough.
Well I cancelled my subscription!
I am seriously on pins and needles waiting for a Michael's 50% off coupon. I know most weeks are 40%, but I have to wait for that rare 50%. I got a Michael's gift card for Christmas ($25) and a little bit of cash, too. I would really really really like to get the Script Alphabet Sizzix dies, but they're $150. If I get a half off coupon and use my card, I could get them for $50. I wish I knew a local employee! I will call them and see if they take JoAnn coupons, they sometimes have a 50% off, too.

Sizzlets script dies are on sale at Sizzix.com today for $89.99. Tuesday only! (They do specials every Tuesday.) Not as good as 50% off at Michaels, but you'd have them pdq! (And if Michaels Matches prices, you might be able to get them to match it today!
Our Sunday paper doesn't always carry the ads either, so I called the Michael's store to ask if they had extras. I was informed that I didn't need to have the coupon as they would have them at the store. What I found out was that you just need to ask for the 40% off on a specific item when you are checking out and they will ask you to sign a paper with your zip code. You can do this one time per week.
I don't know if all the Michael's do this, but you may want to try it!
