For scrapping and stamping, I don't see a lot of updating with there stock, and don't buy often unless I have a coupon to use, but it says they are
planning to build 45 new stores in the future, it will be interesting to see if they do any changes. In Minnesota; we cannot use competitors coupons
at Micheals unless it is for the specified item in the competitors ad; where as; crafts direct in St. Cloud Mn or maybe other states take competitors coupons, like Joannes fabrics for 40% off an item. I buy a lot of my hobby supplies that way. I'm not near a hobby lobby, but my complaint with Micheals is they
don't have coupons in the store, unless you ask to find out. Carolyn
I hope it means change!!
I went into Michaels this week with a pretty long wish list (an $$ to spend)--and all I came out with was a bottle of StazOn cleaner. Geesh!
I use Joann's coupons at Michael's, and Michael's at Joann's when they have something I want and the other doesn't carry it. I've never had anyone at either store tell me I couldn't use the competitors coupons. I check out 4 different Michael's stores and 2 different Joann's, and never a problem. I don't know how this will change with the sale but I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Here's hoping the NEW Canadian Michaels carries as much as the American Michaels. I read the U.S. comments on Michaels and they always are getting better deals and more products than we seem to get in Canada. A change is as good as a rest.
I very rarely go to Michaels anymore. I scrapbook and stamp, and they have a very very outdated inventory. They only seems to carry MM and EK stuff, not that I don't like these companies, I have tons of their stuff. They just need to keep up with the times. AC moore does a much better job in that area, so I usually shop there.
I dont shop much at Michaels anymore either ... its always same old, same old there ... nothing ever seems to change ... and for such a large store, they never seem to have what I am looking for. I used to buy my cs from them, never realizing how flimsy it is, until I got into SU! I tell all my friends not to buy their cs now ...
I hope they make some good changes. The only thing I like at Michael's is the ribbon and occasionally the $1 stamps. There is a lot of out-dated scrapbooking supplies like another posted stated.
