My friend bought a monoadhesive with clear casing but she does not think it is able to use refills -- does anyone know if Tombow Monoadhesive has a trick to opening the 'newer' casing? The refills I sent her say to press the button on top - which her monoadhesive does not have. It is #62114.....why would they make mono that was not refillable??
I believe I have seen one at Michaels that is not refillable. Not sure about the item number. If she doesn't have this 'button' on the top - which esentially separates it into 2 pieces - perhaps she doesn't have the refillable one. The refillable I think is clear and blue.

I recently bought Tombo Monoadhesive from Viking and it is refillable. You "pinch" the two sides together and lift the refill out and snap a new one into place.
The number I found on my refill was #62202. Not sure about the number for the backing part. ( mine is blue).
There are definitely two mono packages now. (I almost bought the wrong one this month.) The usual refillable and the new non-refillable. Why would anyone want the non-refillable, if they are a crafter???
Our local Ben Franklin only carries the non refillable ones :( I had them get some in "just in case" I would ever run out and need some ;) I guess they sell quite a bit of them though.
