Exclamation Monogram cards question

Ok this is probably a DUMB question, but when you make monogram cards.... do you use the letter for the persons First name OR their Last name.... or does it matter???? I want to make some for a widow in our church, she's been a big blessing to my family and she loves elephants, so I've made her cards w/ the elephant for In the Wild, but I want to make her some more personalized cards... ANY suggestions would be appreciated.
Blessings
Kristy

I think you could do either. For a woman, I would use her first name. That's just my humble opinion...don't know the "right" thing to do.

I, too think either is fine, but if it were me, I'd rathe have my first initial that was used.

Since you asked...

I think it's more personal to use the first initial. I think I'd use the first initial unless it's for a teacher. I think I'd use first initial for stationary and last initial for towels. ;)

Proper/formal - last name initial.
Fun/friendly - first name initial.
I prefer fun/friendly for most of my correspondance.

Thanks Ladies
She's a very nice widow in our church, and she's kinda taken to my family... I call her Mrs. Armour.... I never call her by her first name so that was my problem, but if she's writing cards out to her friends, she'd probably go by her first name.... Maybe I'll do some w/ the first initial and some w/ the last... That way I can't go wrong
