Default Monthy stamp clubs

I've been lurking on your site for quite some time and finally regestered. I'm fairly new to SU and only have been to 2 workshops. I'm thinking of joining a monthly SU stamp club and wonder if anyone else does that and could you tell me alittle about them. Also, what supplies should I bring to them? Thanks for all your info.

Hi gottascrap!

I am in a monthly stamp club and I love it. It's a lot of fun!

You don't need to bring any supplies with you. Your club hostess will have everything you need.

Each club is probably run a little differently. Here is what we do:

Each month, those who wish to participate make 12 cards for a swap.
I really love this part of the club as it gives you so many new examples of different stamp sets and some really beautiful cards to collect or send out.

We have to place a minimum $15.00 order each month. Each month a different club member gets the hostess benefits from the total order. If we have a new member who spends a lot of money, these benefits can be quite substantial!

We do at least two different techniques at each club meeting. Sometimes more depending on the length of time it takes to complete each technique.

We stamp and swap and eat goodies. I really look forward to these monthly meetings. I'm sure you will enjoy yours.

Happy Stamping!

NY Nan

Hi Gotttascrap, I do know that some clubs you should be prepared with your own adhesive and cutter...it all depends on what the demo doing the club has set as her guidelines...so much depends on the demo!

Welcome to SCS! We are so glad you could join us!

Hi Gottascrap! I am in a couple clubs. We bring our own adhesive and cutter, and the demo supplies the rest. We do 2-3 projects (depending on level of difficulty), learning all sorts of new techniques. In each we need to place an order so that the hostess of the month gets the minimum order benefits. I love both of them - it's 2 different demonstrators, so I learn all kinds of new stuff.

hi there
i actually host two clubs/classes each month. i provide all of the supplies for each project. we make 3 cards each time and i try to teach a new technique each month. i have about 25 girls between the two groups. it's really a fun way to meet new people. my girls range in age from early 20's to late 60's and have all sorts of varied careers, including many stay at home mom's.

give it a try!
