Hi, I have two children and like to scrapbook, but have also "collected" several stamps (su and non-su). I want to phase out my sticker "collection" and use sticker paper and stamps. Also, use background stamps on solid cardstock to make my "own" designed paper. Any suggestions..I realize this is a really broad area and there are several sets that could be used. Just share your favorites you use. thanks in advance.
If I really had to narrow it down, it would be ToyBox for boys and Girlfriends or Buttons, Bows & Twinkletoes for girls. But looking through the catalog, there are SO MANY great sets for scrapbooking! I also use the Smile set a lot.
I really liked the Crayon Kids stamp set for scrapping especially the crayon stamp in it. It is really great for backround paper and for cutouts. It has a boy and girl figure in it so it can pertain to both. I also like the smorgasborders set since it has the small charecters of the children holding hands.
Hope it helps.
I have a girl and a boy. I have a wish list but don't want so many sets for "cards" and so many for scrapbooking. I want to incorporate stamps in both. I have button bear, you are my sunshine, swirl framed fun, teeny tinies, hearts and posies, little layers, thank you blocks. I have those and don't want too many sets. I have looked at the toy box set and the buttons, bows and twinkletoes set..ugh...decisions...thanks for your input.
I am a very avid scrapbooker and this month I'm going to order Year-Round Fun II on page 66. They're small stamps which are good for making background pages and there are so many occasions that are covered by this set. Ooooohhh, I can't wait to get this now!!!
Definitely alphabet stamps. I love the versitlity of the double-alphabets but if your working in a 12x12 format (which I usually do) the larger alphabets (such as Pure & Simple) really work well for titles. I also love Shapes & Shadows as a year around set. I have boys, but depending on which color ink I use, even the flower in that set could be used for my youngest one.
The Little layers sets are also year round & versatile, you can use the little squares behind your alphabet stamps or to make a background, or whatever.
I love sets that have matching wheels.
I also look for sets that have different sizes of stamps so I can use a larger one for the background (most often versamarked) and smaller coordinating ones to use as embellishments .
Stamp sets with a solid shape stamp or stamps that can easily be used for borders are also great .
I try to look for sets that are very versatile, I don't want all the pages made with a set to look the same.
Some of my favorites are Bug Builders, Fresh flowers, In full bloom and All the Best
Good luck

I was very happy with the 6x6 album I put together for my son using the sailboat out of Toybox and Stars and Swirls. I need to buy a new Alphabet but I can't figure out which one I'll use the most.
I put together a scrapbook page using All The Best and it looked real cute. It was pretty much how the catty showed it. Super simple to put together. I also have to agree with Jennifer about the Crayon Kids. It's great for scrapbooking and stamping plus it comes with the matching wheel. My daughter loves playing with that set and making cards and refridgerator pictures too.
I just finished an 8x8 family address/scrapbook for my son who is in college. I realize your kids are younger, but I used In The Wild and the wheel. It's a little whimsical that might be fun for younger boys but "manly", too...that's sounds like the old Irish Spring soap commercial!
Anyway, it was more versatile than I first imagined and really made some interesting pages (I think). He loved it, and he's not particularly a "crafty" kind of guy!!
In my sons scrapbook I have used mostly....
Crayon Kids
Toy Box
Alphabet sets
I would also recomend the Just Journaling 1 or 2 and any of the framed sets.
Good luck picking...there are so many to choose from!!
I think Sketch an Event is one of the most useful sets in the catalog for both cards and scrapbook pages...it's elegant, but it can be cute too. And it covers a lot of territory! It's one of the first sets I bought when I became a demonstrator.
ALPHABETS, ALPHABETS, and more ALPHABETS...They totally change a page and can be used endlessly....big ALPHABETS...little ALPHABETS...black ALPHABETS...green ALPHABETS...Layered ALPHABETS...collaged ALPHABETS....ALPHABETS on tags...punched out ALPHABETS....somebody stop me...never mind I'm going to work on my swap....guess what I'm doing!
