Oh my goodness. I was cracking up last night! I had the SCS page pulled up and DH needed to use the computer. I told him just to minimize SCS. A few minutes later I hear him reading different posts, but they were filled with acronyms and he kept asking what they meant. He would read them like a word though which is what I found sooo funny. "What is ep?" Instead of EP. He was also amazed at how many cards and ideas were on here. He's just starting to realize how huge the stamping world is and that I'm not the only nut out there who spends all their free time in "the stamping room!" He must have spent 30 minutes on this site. Anyways, just wanted to share.
That's pretty funny! I'm not sure my husband "gets it" either. He just sighs when he sees me on here -- which is pretty much ALL THE TIME! He calls me an addict!
WHOOOP WHOOOPP INTRUDER INTRUDER WHOOOOP WHOOOOP...Look out girls, men are starting to realize SCS is THE PLACE TO BE!!!
HAHAHA LOL!!! Sorry I just had visions of husbands everywhere reading all about us and finding all our deepest secrets that we would share with no one but a fellow stamper!!!! LOL
My husband loves when I stamp and create...we were in Walmart and I started grabbing fishing swivels...he just looked and said, "cards?" I grinned and said "yup!" He laughed and looked at my sons and said, " a man loves a wife who can buy fishing stuff with him and love it!!!!" LOL!!!!
My husband is also very supportive in my crafting. My first scrapbook was our wedding. My sister had been scrapbooking for three years and I was interested, but was never willing to put the time into it. I decided to give it a try when we got the photos back are we didn't have a picture of just the two of us. At least with scrapbooking you can cut out the others. I was just starting and not very good and he was bragging to his buddies who were definately not interested about my scrapbooking, and now stamping.

I have a totally cool DH too! He is glad that I have a hobby and is supportive. He is glad that I can make cards and gifts for our friends and family as well as work on our wedding and honeymoon albums.
My DH checks out the SCS website every once in a while. He usually looks at my gallery to see the comments that people make on my cards. He also finds some of the comments amusing.
My dh is very supportive of my habit--whoops, hobby!!! He would not actually come in to the site, though, even though I made it our home page!!!
Wow, Keri--fishing swivels--I hadn't thought of that one! Next time I'm at Walmart, I'll have to check them out! I have already gotten tackle boxes for all of my embellishments (I sprayed them black and mounted six of them on the wall)!
Mine would not know how to get on here if his life depended on it. Not the computer type. He can play solitaire, that is because I put a shortcut on the desktop! Kerilou

Here is the link to one Jr Legal pad I used them on! They come in Black, Brass and I think Silver and they come in different sizes too!!! I also got some clippie things that I will use like the ribbon loop in the HodgePodge Hardware...they were like 12 for 83 cents or something cheap like that!
My DH and I have desks back to back so we can both be on our computers together (he's a comptuer geek). We used to be in separate rooms and would IM each other instead of getting up and walking down the hall! I often read the posts to him and he laughs along (rolling eyeballs all the while). I sometimes think I spend too much time reading and posting and not enough time stamping!

My husband doesn't spend much time here - that I know of. He's on the computer at work all day. I don't know what he does there! I do send him a link to my gallery every now and then while he's at work. Gives him a chance to show the gals in the office what I've been doing. And I copy and paste signature lines when I see one I think he will appreciate. And he really likes VSN. I think he likes to see me having fun and I keep showing him what everyone else is doing.
Now, fishing swivels? I'll have to have another look in the sporting goods department. My husband already scours the hardware section for stamping supplies for me!

Oh, I am so raiding DH's tackle box!
Darin will read over my shoulder sometimes. He is a member on a catfish forum so he kinda gets it but would never really sit down and read anything on scs. Although he did see the thread with "thongs" in the title and was kinda curious.

Oh yeah!! One MUST check out the sporting department for cool embellishments! I've got a card that has fishing line and plastic bait on it. Another card I wrapped fishing line around it and make a fake "hook" with wire (I was afraid to use a real hook, too sharp! Nothing like sending a birthday card and having to warn the post office and card getter to watch out for sharp objects!).
My husband had to laugh at my choice of fishing lures cuz I wanted them to match the colors on my cards ;)

OK I can see it now, Stampin Up 2006-2007, page 212, Hodgepodge Fishy Swivels.
LOL!!!!! Wouldn't that be funny...
But you know I was in Walmart the other day and bought some upholstery tacs that were really neat and I just took Ads dykes out and snipped the post off of the tack and then used a dimensional and a glue dot and made them into really neat embellishments!!! They were 100 for 1.93 in the sewing/notions section. Here is a link to my Upholstery Embellishments Card Check them out...they are soo fun!!! They also come more domed and smooth!!!

OMG! Thank you for posting the link to your beautiful card -- I would NEVER have a clue what the do-hickey was on your card -- fishing stuff, eh? We dont' fish but I may have to start purusing the fishing tackle stuff!! Great idea!
