Default My new rule

I am the type of person who buys just to buy so I have SO many sets that I haven't even used. My new rule for myself is that when I buy a set I have to make 5 cards with it- whether they are cased or original. That way I KNOW I'm getting use out of what I buy. I just got my spring mini order so I'm going to be busy! Two down with Cool Cat- three more to go...

I do the SAME thing!! I just love my catalog and I just love getting new sets. I even love cutting and mounting them! Right now I have at least 5 sets in my collection that I have not used and three sets that I haven't even mounted yet. So many stamps, so little time!

That is a really good idea. I have so many that I just don't find the time to use..I love them, and want to use them, but don't. I am gonna make a concerted effort to do this. Thanks for sharing..l

Love your idea I am going to have to borrow it! I also want to make sure that I get good use out of my stamp sets. And I am definitly not ready to depart with any of my sets!!! Besides you never know what you need till it is gone!!

I do this all the time. Whenever I get a new set, I always make myself do a minimum of 6 cards with that set. It's a great way to get those 'creative juices' flowing.

Great idea, I have 3 sets I just got recently and havent stamped them yet (along with about 20+ I havetn used yet either!)

As I am coming here I am more inclined to share SU with you all as you dont tend to do others so I have added incentive.

Another I do while I'm making these cards is that I make myself use EVERY stamp in the set. I find it is easy to use the one or two that I like best and sometimes more difficult to use the others. This really makes you stretch creatively sometimes.

I'm so glad to hear I'm not the only one!!! I love this idea. I have a pile of sets in my area just sitting on the table because I haven't used them yet. Thanks for the idea.

that is always my goal too, but i don't always do it!! i like the challenge of using eVERY stamp too. i will try that too. i keep thinking if i had more time i would set one unused stamp set up for each stampin session and force myself to use it. too bad i am always running out of time and have a project i must finish, instead of just playing with my stuff and trying new things... time to stick to the goals. thanks for the reminder.

I will definitely make an effort to follow your good advice. I, too, am guilty of stamp glutony. I see a sample, I love it, and next thing you know, I've bought it (in case I ever want to duplicate the sample). Would be a lot easier borrowing the set or staring at it in the catalog for a while, but that's not my style.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who gets a rush out of cutting and mounting new sets. When my sets come I wait till its all quiet, pour myself a cup of cocoa and trim away. I'm almost as addicted as stamping itself!

Great idea, how about adding in that you'll actually send out those five cards also. Sometimes I get so busy making samples for workshops that I only make one of each and then never have any to send out. I need to share my cards people and keep in touch with friends more.

I had to put myself on "no buy" until I use All of the sets that I have. I have 2 small boys and so the time I get to spend actually stamping isn't very much.

I think that if I try to make 5 different cards from each of my sets, it will be time for the new catalog to come out... Maybe that's not such a bad idea.

I am my own best customer. So good in fact, I don't need others to help me meet my quarterly minimum
