Default My version of Grandma Got Runover by a Reindeer
I entered a Christmas song contest. I had to take a Christmas song, and turn it into a stamping song...I WON!!! Here is my version

Grandma got run over by a brown truck
Going to a stamp camp Christmas Eve
You can't understand why she's addicted
But she buys more darn supplies than you'll believe

She'd been cutting all her paper
all her inkpads were just so
She packed it all inside her caddy
And she left with all her things to earn her dough

When they found her Christmas morning
The brown truck had not come back
There were tire marks on her forehead
And a ups symbol on her back

Grandma got run over by a brown truck
Going to a stamp camp Christmas Eve
You can't understand why she's addicted
But she buys more darn supplies than you'll believe

Now were all so proud of Grandpa
He's got all her things to sell
Little beads and all her punches
Some cutting thing and some stamp says wishing well

All the boxes still come to Grandma
filled with tons of her cardstock
If UPS wont stop those orders
We'll be forced to make those cards around the clock

Now the glitter is on the table
Right beside her big RED hat
I bet she really really needs them
Cause she cant get them where she's at

OMG!!! :lol: That is sooo funny! And, just today, my brown driver asked my what SU is?! Imagine, a person who still doesn't know what it is. I smiled and told him it was rubber stamps and when he still looked puzzled, I told him they're for cardmaking and crafting. Then he nodded, but I still think he thinks I'm smuggling something into Canada on a weekly basis.

lol!!! that song was great! and I can only imagine what your UPS guy thinks your smuggling. hehe I wonder if my UPS guy knows why I get so excited when he shows up with a box from SU!? hhhhhhhmmmmmmm........

My UPS driver once asked me "What is Stampin' Up?" and I briefly explained.

He said, "Oh. Well, I deliver a lot of these boxes, and when the people are at home they are really happy to get their boxes". LOL!! :lol:

If it he was bringing me a box of weed, I think I'd be very disappointed. Who needs that crap when you get such a great high stamping?! :lol: (Especially if you use the Staz-on too long!)Besides, rolling papers aren't nearly thick enough to stamp a card on! And, I live in a farming area where there are several pot growing operations-so I'm told-I'm not speaking from personal experience here. So, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't need to import it if the notion struck me. Anyway, thanks again for posting your song, Denise. I'm not surprised that it won.I re-read it and it made me laugh again. :lol: Somehow I can almost see that being me in the future!

ROFLMBO--I had the exact same conversation with Brown a few weeks ago. Except that after he nodded (still looking confused), he said "Oh...I thought it might be meat or something." LOL Perhaps he meant that it must be my family's food supply since it comes so often! :shock: :oops:
