Lightbulb Need help with a baby announcement card. . .

It has been forever since I have posted, but I know you all will help me out anyway. I am working on a birth announcement of my first grandson and my sons first child and I want it to be very special. I really like the wash day stampin' round and want to use it. I created the card below (hopefully I will be able to attach it) anyhow I feel like it is missing something . . . ideas please!!!!

Adorable!
If you want to add something to it hows about some ribbon with maybe a mini safety pin attactched to it (you can get those mini coloured ones from Making memories or EK success). Or maybe add some colour to the images.

I think you have done a wonderful job on it. I'm sure they will love it!

How exciting. First granchild!! congrats.

I would color in some of the clothes (not all) on the line and the grass with the same green in the paper and the circle to help pull it all together. the circle is dominating right now. Once a few of the clothes are colored in -- perhaps with pastels, I think the card will look awesome. Also, it is hard to tell in the picture, but I would stamp the circle with the same color blue ink that you are using with the wheel, and then add a bit of linen thread or something punched through that circle for an added element.

It's a very cute card! I would colour in one piece of the clothing...perhaps the pajama or the overalls. I would also change the rivet to the same blue as the card. Hope this helps!

First of all this card looks really great.

I agree with the coloring idea - however it might be really cool to use the spotlight technique to highlight the little onsey with the rabbit face on it.

You could use a circle tag and mat in on maybe the patterned paper. Then color in the onsey and maybe use some glitter on it to give it pop.

Just an idea.

Thanks for all the wonderful ideas and please keep them coming
When I get home tonight I will play around with it. Definitly color in a few of the clothes with pastels and play with the circle, so it does not over power.

How exciting you will have a new grandson soon!

I think I would lightly color a few pieces of the clothing and change the welcome circle to blue using the same blue ink from the wheel.

congrats! I hate coloring myself, so if you're like me and dont want to color, think about using either the blue or green ink to stamp the wash day.
or how about matting your layer or layers- example, the white piece with the blue or green, and the stripe piece with blue or green?
I really like your circle and really dont think its overpowering. if you're still not happy with it, then you could see what it looks like with a lighter color green CS and ink for the circle?
anyway, just throwing things out there- I really do like your card design and stamp/paper selections

If you want to keep the circle...what about stamping it a second time with blue and then punching out the middle blue portion and using a dimensional to add it to the middle of the existing circle?

Washday is one of my absolute favorite images in the catalog! A hint of color in the clothes and a thin blue mat behind the Washday image would really tie everything together. And how about a ribbon running vertically around your center bands to anchor the Riveting circle? It would be a nice finishing touch.

Lightbulb take two . . .

Okay, I got home from work and started playing around with all the ideas - when I realized I do not have enough of the stripped paper to make 50 to 75 cards, so I had to change things up a bit.
I would like more feed back please. I am happier with this one, but just not sure if this is it or not. The inside will have a printed poem anouncing the arrival of my grandson with all the vital info.
Again thanks for all your help!!!!
