A co-worker has asked me to make a thank you card for a restaurant (Chipotle if it matters) for providing lunch for our last staff meeting. (She dropped her card in the bowl and was chosen to receive lunch for the office.)
I just have no idea what kind of card to make. I am completely at a loss. She also wants it to be rather large so that everyone can sign it. Not huge, but larger than my normal cards. I just don't know that my normal style would be....appropriate(?)....for this kind of thing.
Well, this card I did would be VERY easy to make in a larger version, and the colors are quite generic so it might work. Just get a larger flower for the corner. It would be super simple to do. Hope that helps.

I would go with their colors red, black and white. If you could throw some silver in that would be great! I don't know what stamps you have but you could even just layer paper and ribbon on the front and stamp or print thanks on the inside. I do like the suggestion of using gracias. Maybe you could find a chilipepper to put on the outside. Just to stick with their theme.
The first two things that came to mind were the Thank You embossing folder from Provocraft and a chili -
I don't have an example to show but one year for thank you notes for my son's school I printed thank you in all different texts on the computer to make a background then I put a piece of acetate on the front with the school's crest on. (I even changed the "thank you" to "Merci beaucoup" for his French teacher).
how about using their colors (kraft, black, silver and a touch of red) and making a faux burrito out of aluminum foil?
If you go to their website (www.chipotle.com), click on their logo, choose ads, choose billboard, there are a bunch of examples of what their burritos look like...that's what I think they're most known for.

Ooh, and they love when people do that (the whole burrito with aluminum foil) - I think its like their trademark! They have a contest every year to "dress like a burrito" or something like that...

Have fun!
i would definitely use their color scheme. i have a chipotle gift card holder in my "stash" exactly for this inspiration! and hey, you might want to check out today's Ways to Use it challenge. it's about using spices or stuff in your pantry on your card. you could adhere chili powder to it somehow and it would even "smell" like chipotle!! one of the sample cards has an example of this and how to do it! yummmmm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow...thanks so much for all the suggestions! I'm a little self conscious about this card since everyone I work with is going to be signing it....
I really like the idea of printing their logo onto a transparency and using that on the card somewhere. I also would really like to use the cuttlebug thanks folder, but I don't know if I can get it to look right because I'm thinking I'm going to make the card about 6" by 9"......
I wouldn't be to imtimidated by size...you can fill it up with fun papers or backgound stamping. It would be a great backdrop to a big "thank you" out of sticker, chipboard or thickers letters...which would add some great dimension to your card.
