Smile Need help with cardstock combination

Hi, I am a pretty new stamper and I would like to buy some stampin up cardstock from my demonstrator. But there are so many beautiful colors to choose from. Can anyone tell me, what your favorite color combinations are?

Default Color Combos

I love lots of different ones, but one of my favorites is Old Olive and Eggplant Envy. I guess now you would have to use the Elegant Eggplant!! I love the new Certainly Celery and Bashful Blue combo also.

If you're just starting out and not sure what colors you like best, you should order the color family assortments. Then, as you see which colors you gravitate toward, you can order the full packs of those colors.

Default CS choices

I do suggest the same thing as Rachel- I purchase the multi packages of Card Stock, and then order the ones I seem to use a lot of. I put my CS in a rubbermaid container that holds file folders to keep it organized (I have 3 of them now...). You will need to order metallic CS, white, confetti and vellum seperately............................

Good Luck!

Lightbulb color coach

I purchased the color coach and have NOT found it helpful. You ought to look through the catalog and find color combinations you like. Then check the back which lists supplies and make cards in those colors. Limit your combinations to 2 main and possibly an accent color. This was my toughest challenge starting out.

Also, in the challenges forum, there is a special forum called "color challenges" I post a new color combination each week!

OK, I'll admit it. I bought the old one, and didn't find it all that helpful for me. BUT, I recently got to play with a friend's NEW/Improved Color Coach.

Holy WOW! I'm color challenged, and this opened my eyes to some great new combos I would not have tried before! It is now on my next order list. I'm a demo'r of 8 years, stamper of 12. If that helps you in any way. . .

I do draw inspiration from magazines, catalog, etc., but that Color Coach is a nifty little gadget and easy to take with (I take my rubbah on the road when I travel)

Default Welcome, Ellibelle!!!

Maybe these 3 threads will help? (Although they are not updated with the new colours.)
  • 3 and 5 colour combos
  • Colour combo cheat sheets
Note! Scroll down for PhotoCroppers latest upload! The other older attachments don't work.
  • And here's a good Excel sheet which I like and use all the time. It does not have the new colours. (The idea is you use a small stamp to fill in the boxes with the appropriate colour.)

And yes, take a look in the *Colour Combo Forum* for weekly inspirations!

I was at my demo's today and her UPS came with the new color coaches. I agree, it is soooo much better than the one before, now I have another thing I have to get! I really liked the way it worked!
