I got my Nov issue of Scrapbook Answers yesterday and wouldn't you know it, I saw an ad for Stampin Up, and it promised that the winter mini was going to have some cool accesories and the ribbon on the ad look beautiful. I can't wait.
The ad is in Simple Scrapbooks too! Page 24 Pinks, Chocolates, Caribbeans All are different textures. Some Rickrack, some velvet, some picot edge, all very cool looking!
It's something about Sugar and Spice. The ribbons look totally girly and FABULOUS!!! If the ribbon is that great, imagine what other gorgeous items might be in there? The waiting is killing me!
The rumor, and I believe it is JUST a rumor, is that the winter mini will be posted on the demo portion of the SU website today (saturday the 14th). We had expected it on Sunday the 15th. So far, not there!!

Bummer, I got the scrapbook answers magazine yesterday and was going to bring it in to work and forgot it. I wanted to see the add. LOL, last night while I was thinking about my next club order, hubby and I were discussing the post about how much everyone's stash is worth and I mentioned someone's spending and he says to me, wow that's about how much you spend, lol. Not quite, lol, but maybe I should do it just so he knows what it feels like! ;)
I'm a SU Demo. and saw the ribbon on our website. It looks really pretty!
I can't find the winter mini online yet either. I did see on SC on someone's Blog a sneak preview of the new designer paper coming out in it (She's in the Founder's Circle). There are also 6 new stamp kits with stamp sets and all the cardstock pre-cut, ribbon and accessories and stampin spots included
in the winter mini. That is in our Nov. issue of Stampin Success which is now online. These stamp sets are die cut and already assembled!!! The sets will cost $34.95 each.

How do those of us who are NOT demos see this?? LM :-)
We got a sneak peak at the mini at the Lansing Regional conference. New stamps, new wheel, new background, new tag punch, new papers, new ribbon, new kits.........WOW!!!!!

Now that stinks! How long with the Mini be in circulation. Just a couple of months right? I am going to be poor.

You and me both! I can't wait to see the mini! My daughter-in-law just started stamping, and one of those sets will make a wonderful Christmas prezzie!

A demo friend lets me log in to her account to see the new catalogs, etc....but the demo side of the site said that the Winter Mini would be online 14 October, but it's STILL not up......just showing the Holiday Mini only. Weird, and I'm dying to get my sneak-peak!

Oh goody! I've been trying to decide what to get for my November order!
LOL, that's the darkside of sneak peeks. It's sort of like finding out you're pregnant practically instantly. It makes the wait sooooooo long! Sometimes I think, "I'm just gonna delay looking at the mini until closer to ordering time...and not make myself so crazy." Uh, huh...ask me how often THAT'S worked!
This wrong for you demo friend to do. Here is SU's policy on this issue. If she gets caught she will be in trouble and might even lose her demonstratorship.

Thank you ladies for pointing out my stupidity. I've already asked a moderator to delete my stupid post since we no longer have the power to edit ourselves. Sometimes people post things without thinking...and this was one of them for me. I'm done posting stupid crud...this week.

It isn't necessarily your post that was "stupid"... it is the fact that your Demo friend is allowing you to access the Demonstrator portion of the website that is pretty dumb. This is putting her business at risk and potentially hurts the rest of us demonstrators that follow the rules. I hope she realizes this and no longer allows others including yourself to have access to her password.

I agree. Your demo could lose her demoship over it were SU! to find out about it. There is private info in her account about other customers. She may actually be breaking privacy laws by allowing you to "peek." Not so much stupid on your part as it is on hers.
Believe me this is not directed to anyone........just to clarify a little.
When a Demo lets a customer have access to their password it opens up the possiblity of the customer taking other peoples personal and financial info (not just peeking at the minis). Imagine being the Demo's other customers and having you info opened to someone you don't know.
This is not a "seeing the mini" early issue with Demos.
