Default New Demo!!! and of course, questions!!

I did it!! Sent the ID agreement in April 1 (didn't know about the special, but I am sure SU will take care of that for me). Can't wait to get my # and a friend has already committed to host my first party!!

I have been keeping an eye on any question having to do with being a demo and what customers want-- truly this website is priceless!---and have my first projects tentatively picked out thanks to the gallery. BTW, I plan to send a monthly email to customers/friends--is it OK to say "be sure to check out www.splitcoaststampers.com for MILLIONS of ideas!" in it?

My main questions involve: how do you keep track of what supplies you use for workshops, etc., vs. personal use? Hubby and I plan to create a spreadsheet to track each sheet of paper and brad, unless someone here has already done so? We were set to create one for taxes but Tiffany Hadley sent me hers (and it is GREAT!! Thanks, Tiffany!!). So has anyone already done this? Don't really want to invest in Stamper's Sidekick until I have actually made some money at this (I've heard it is great).

Thanks!! I am so excited I can hardly sit still!!!

Julia,
Once you get your demo ID number, join the demo only forum. Lots of terrific help there for SU demos! Congrats and welcome to the family! You will love it!

Hi,

I don't track every little item -- that's WAY too hard. Basically, each item you buy from SU! is for your business, so count it that way. Makes no difference if you use a sheet of CS and some ribbon to make a car for a friend -- that is still advertising your business, so it is a business expense.

HTH

That was going to be my suggestion.

Also when you get your demo #, you can log onto the SU! website under demonstrator login and check the delivery status of your starter kit under "Order Entry Express". Mine should arrive tomorrow - I'm so excited!

do you only write off what you bought from SU as expenses or can you also right off what you buy from Micheals, $ stores, and target, etc... as business expenses?
