I returned the flue de lis border punch. It does not punch s u cardstock. I tried to exchange the punch first. I had some S U cardstock with me and it did not punch the image. The clerk tried it on the regular paper and she had problems. I than took the regular punch and it worked. I think the detailed punches may not work on c s paper or maybe s u paper is too thick?

Hmm, I have both the fleur de lis and the Parisian which are both pretty detailed and haven't had any problem punching thru the Georgia Pacific 110lb cardstock I have here.
I just purchased the teeny tiny dot EK border punch, and love it, but it is VERY hard to line up - the dots are so hard to see through the punched out dots when u slide the paper down.
I'm taking mine back for just that reason. Yes, it looks pretty cool, but I only got the dots to line up perfectly maybe one out of five tries (Aand it's noticable when they don't). Too much aggravation in my life already; I don't need a punch to add more!

Like I wrote, I tried to punch cardstock in front of the salesperson and than I took one off the wall to try that one on cardstock. She watched me and than she tried it on paper with a problem. The punch shredded the paper.
I will get more, but I will take cardstock with me so I can try before I leave the parking lot.
Thanks to this thread, I just bought 4 at 30% off in Michaels today - i managed to punch through some barely banana cs when i got home - they are so cute - i got fleur de lis, the beach one, the card suit (heart, diamond, club, spade - goes nicely with the card games set and jackpot paper!) and the birthday candles.
Don't tell DH - we are trying to economize (I got laid off at the end of December)!!!

The regular punches work.

Betty-I'm sorry, I didn't realize how my reply sounded - and I think I left something off that I meant to add Just because I have some detailed ones that work absolutely doesn't mean that yours didn't (or that you were doing anything wrong). I've been lucky enough that all my Martha Stewart punches work great, too (one after a little bit of working with it), and it seems like lots of people have problems with those. I think I must just be blessed with good "punch karma" - maybe to make up for my lack of cleaning and organizing skills!
Not quite sure what kind of punches are not working, but I do know the representative from Fiskars suggested that some of the punches are made to be "palmed" to punch (sort of like hitting a tabletop stapler)...kinda...as opposed to punching with hands/fingers...just a thought...not sure it it would help with these or not...
