LadyScrppr: I did just that and wow I have decided to keep Tags and More. The snowman is so popular so my challenge will to be to make some great cards using the other neglected stamps

OK so here is what I have narrowed my choices down to keeping in mind that I have AYCI, IFB, FF, and IBB.
29.95~Shapes and Shadows
24.95~Polka Dot Party
24.95~Spring Garden
19.95~Tags and More
11.95~Cute Critters or Beyond Basics
wheel~Hot to Dot
Switching out Brilliant Blue for Positively Pink
oh and like I really needed to say it but I will choose Everyday Flexible Phrases as my freebie.

I hope I have a good mix. Any suggestions?

I am sticking with the Itty Bitty Backgrounds but changing the rest to...

In Full Bloom
Wonderful Words
Mini Mates
Spring Garden

Not sure about my wheel yet, leaning toward Whirley-Twirly.

And my free set, Everyday Flexible Phrases.

Does anyone know if we can choose craft pads or do they have to be classic?

I AM SO PSYCHED!!!!!!!

I'm thinkin' it has to be classic because of the difference in price.

You will find a lot of use for the tags and more once you have it. I wanted another set when I signed up but decided to get tags and more and it was and it ended up being a great choice. The leaf for fall, dragonfly for spring, etc. They are a great size for making embelishments with poly shrink too.

I just have one comment about Simply Sweet  . I have been working on set samplers for sets that I already own, including simply sweet. I am having a very hard time because all of the stamps are long and horizontal, which makes it difficult to come up with really unique set sampler cards that are all "different" KWIM? All of the cards end up looking kind of the same after a while. I have seen people who cut each stamp into thirds so they had small groups of chairs, vases, etc. and mounted it that way. I think this would greatly up the versatility of this set.

I hope you don't mind my two cents I love hearing from everyone and looking at the "pros and cons" of each set. I think this is a really cute set and I think if you mounted it differently (now I wish I would have) you could get much more use out of it.
Thanks for the info! Mounting them into thirds does sound like a great idea!

I couldn't remember what Simply Sweet was so I looked it up. I like the idea of cutting it into thirds. But how do you mount that? My thought was that I really love my black marker. I would just use my marker to split them up and omit that way.

And, what is mounted 'peg style'?

Thanks for all the great stamp set ideas! I'm thisclose to deciding to sign up in January, thanks mostly to you ladies on here! I was wondering what else besides stamps comes in the kit as far as inks and cardstock. How much of each do you get and what colors do they choose for you? Can you switch out the colors of inks and stuff like you can with the stamps?

In the starter kit, they include 2 packages of Bold Brights assorted cardstock and you have the opporturnity to change to another color group if you would like just like you can pick other stamp pad colors (except Black). I'm just getting Earth Elements because I love those colors...I'm getting quite a few different "packs" of single colors for Christmas so I will see what I need for a workshop. And since I have just about all the ink pads, I'm getting a few duplicates that I will probably keep wrapped for hostess gifts of "raffle" type gifts at workshops. I hope that helps and I hope you sign up with us!!!

I'm thinking peg style would be like mounting the alphabets...using more than one side, but I could be wrong.

I will see when I get the set home.

I was just looking at the picture in the back of the catalog and my form. It looks like you get a black classic pad and then 5 others of your choice, one Ink cartrige of your choice, you get the STAMPIN PASTELS (I didn't), two packages of assorted card stock (your choice), one pack of white cs, stampin sponges, lg cello bags, snail adhesive, CRAFT RUBBER SCISSORS (WOW, I didn't) Stampin Scrub and mist (I didn't get that either) and a versamark pad.

That is so much stuff!! Wow!! Plus of course you get all the business supplies. And, the 5 set and a wheel.

What a deal!

Hi

I'm not becoming a demo but thought I'd throw in my two cents I consider myself an exprienced stamper....way above the basics and new techniques are "old hat", like for most of you, by the time I do them the a few times.

That said, look for sets that offer versatility beyond seasonal....does that make sense?

Take Bug Builders for example. It is a great set to make kids cards and can make a very nice card for a man when using the right colors but it also makes a beautiful card with FLOWERS

I think it would be great for you to find a set that would do something similar to what I said above to really grab onto some of those stampers who are able to look beyond say the "bugs" KWIM?

I'm getting this one for Christmas! I'm so excited! You are very right about non-seasonal versatility!

I too am signing up in Jan! It's so exciting that so many of us are signing up. I decided to get ATB and AYCII and then change out some of the ink pads so I could complete them.
Is anyone going ahead and buying the scrapbooking portion too? I love to scrap too, so I figure why not! Does anyone know, can you put the white craft pad down instead on the add-on portion?

LET'S SEE . I love them all and I have alot also. I will post at the end a list of what I'm choosing. The reason for my choices were because I just had a party and I got Love Without End and In Full Bloom with part of my $75.00 hostess benefits!! Ok here goes the list!!!

Beyond The Basics
Bold Basics
Tags & More
All Year Cheer III
Perfect Party
Bloomin' Wheel
Positively Pink Ink Cartridge
Soft Subtle Cardstock (For the Spring Season!!)
Basic Brown Pad
Mellow Moss Pad
Barely Banana Pad
Perfect Plum Pad
Pale Plum Pad
Free Set: Everday Flexible Phrases

I'm also adding on the Stampin Memories Kit. The only thing I'm changing in there is the Craft Pad. I'm changing it to White.

Good luck with your choices. I hope we all have helped!!

Merry Christmas,
Michelle

Yet another dilemma! My mother is signing up (mainly just for the discount and free sets!), but we can't decide on what to get for one of the $24.95 sets! Here's what she's currently getting:

Close to Nature
Pines
Stipple Celebration
In the Wild
???
Bloomin' Wheel

I already have In Full Bloom for her to borrow, along with Lovely As a Tree and Fresh Flowers (which I hate and never use!) I'm strongly leaning towards Terrific Tulips, but she's leaning more toward Birthday Banter. Neither of us like the cutesy birthday sets. The others we were thinking about were Sparkling Summer (but not sure how much use we would get out of it the other 9 months of the year!), or Business Memos (only $21.95, but seemingly useful... any comments on that?). I looked for samples for Fancy Foliage but didn't find much of anything, so I think that set is out of the running. I don't know if we like Love Without End, and I'm not sure how much we'd use it. Also, there's Spring Garden, but I haven't seen much with that and don't know how much we'd use it. I would love any help you might have for her!
