You may have seen companies selling dies for 'Slim Line cards'. It appears they fit an office size envelope. Does anyone here do those? What are measurements to cut one? I can make my own envelopes for any size of card.
I bought a stamp online some time ago, and the measurement they showed was not what I got, but it appears to be made for this size of card.
Help?

From my notes, 8" X 91/4" scored along the 4" mark gives a US business envelope size card, but since it's different to ours I'm not sure where I made those notes from. I must have looked it up for some reason at some stage.

I did just see McGuire use one I think it was last week.

#10 envelopes/standard business are 4 1/8 x 9 1/2. So since I tend to go with a quarter inch all around smaller..unless it is bulky then 1/2 inch....That would be a card that is 3 7/8 by 9 1/4. I think it depends on how much room you like to have.
So one card to the 8 1/2 x 11 piece of CS..but you will have sentiment size strips left over.

I've been making cards like these for years. I've made these when I wanted to stamp out a long word or name with larger letter stamps. I also have a tall mailbox stamp that works very well with this design. I measure the envelope and adjust the measurements for the card base accordingly. This is pretty much what Wavejumper does.

Are you looking for the card base measurements, or the measurements for making an envelope?

I don't have much 12x12 plain cardstock, so I cut lettersize cardstock to 7 x 8.25, then folded to 3.5 x 8.25.

Here in the UK we call them DL cards as they are "double length".
It's basically a 21cm square (8.25") folded in half, or 2/3rds of a sheet of card folded along the long edge.

Is THAT what a DL card is? Thank you so much for explaining that. I've heard the term a lot on the UK craft shows, but I never know what they meant.
