I believe SU! allows it to happen. They are pretty diligent about the IDA so why wouldn't they be diligent about this unless they want it to leak. Happens every year and will continue to happen unless SU! changes the link. No big deal.
Not a demo here, just an old customer whose ordering has dropped way off. I just dont have time to stamp much Anymore. However, the catty being leaked and discussed here gets me excited about stamps again. The positive demos like Minders (and others here) remind me what fun SU can be! I will be placing a new catty order, but if my demo took the approach of "I can't allow you to see this catty..." it would seriously discourage me from ordering. Just sayin, glad it was leaked, lighten up!
I finally ordered this! Mine's coming today... IF the UPS man ever gets his backside here. He will probably come right after I leave at six thirty. :o
Oh, I'm so bummed... I thought for SURE I had put The Open Sea on my order and it was not there. I must have taken it off during one of my number-crunches. Oh well--guess I'll have to order again : )

I maintain letting non demos see the cattie on line early only increases all sales. It's a great tease and I maintain like others do - if SU really didn't want it out to anyone but the demos, they would put security on their link. This is part of their marketing tactics, SU demos. And I firmly believe you reap the benefits of the sneak peeks. Just share the wealth and let others enjoy.
So, to focus on the fun stuff... since the link is out there. What are you most excited about in the new catty? The tools and new framelits are my biggies!
This definitely doesn't fall into the "most exciting" thing in the new catalog, but I have a question about the new, larger Stampin' Scrub. Any demos know anything about it yet? I saw it showing that it's now 7x7, but are the pads physically attached to the case, because I didn't immediately see anything about refills. Are the pads removable like all the previous versions?
I love the new snowman set and the Christmas deer. I'm such a sucker for Christmas sets.
That peacock is catching my eye.
OOh the Quint-Essential Flower. I love stamps that work with the punches.
I'm not sure if I need the new InColors yet. I have to see them in person. I will probably cave. I'm hoping I don't love the new ink pads so much that I feel the need to replace all of the ones I have, or I am in big trouble!

I don't think anyone has seen them yet (unless maybe the demos who were at Disney on the incentive trip ... and they haven't mentioned anything).
I am only a customer and I love to see the cat early but of course as one previous poster remindeded me - we as Canadians are getting suckered by SU each time we order. I was really hoping that with this cat SU would address this price difference issue.
Happy dreams till we can order! I wonder how many times I will revise my list?
I really like the Christmas DSP, some of the new ribbons, the new mat and paper piercing templates and the Little Labels punch pack with it's matching stamp set. I'll get the new InColors pack and markers just because I'm a sucker for lots of color choices! For all the rest, I'm waiting to see samples.
I also noticed the new stamp scrubber doesn't have any refills listed. And that is some fancy new paper trimmer too, wonder if Fiskars will have a generic version of it or if it's a SU exclusive design.

Thanks, I didn't think anyone or at least the bulk of demos had seen anything - just didn't know if SU bothered to inform you guys of some of the changes since you can view it online and some already have the paper version in hand.
Two sets jumped out at me as "must haves", the one with the old "Farmall-like" tractor and there's one that's all cutesy birds with sentiments, I can't remember the names. I'm also very interested in those little banner dies and the matching sentiment set. I thought I'd be in trouble over the patterned paper, but so far I only see two I really want, maybe three. I know there's a lot more in this catalog I like, but I don't really enjoy looking at it on the computer, so I'll make more decisions when my demo gets me a copy.
There's definitely going to be some new ribbon in my next order too. I'm still on the fence about the new in colors, I always order the assorted pack of cardstock and check them out, then order the colors I really like. And there has been a couple years that I didn't order any more after that. I'll just have to see the colors to really know.

Gail you are correct! The HEART sweet treat cups are retiring. The regular circle ones are NOT!
And they are indeed filled with sprinkles;-)
Sorry, I always think of the heart when the treat cups
are mentioned. I didn't see either in the new catty, but then I was using the PDF. I always miss stuff when I look online.
I have to agree with post# 95 (cbet). This happens every year (and with the minis as well). And every year it is a very emotional topic for some. Stampin' Up! could find a way to fix this if they truly didn't want the catalog to be "leaked". Why not keep the catty a secret to all and just share a few stamp sets with demos, so that they can begin making samples???
To make it secure, SU would have to make it a file only viewable online. It the demos bring the SU site to a stand still just downloading the file, what would it be like if we had to VIEW it from their site. Once it's downloaded, any one with FTP service could post it.
This could be why they continue to load it the way they do.

They may have info in the new catty product file, with all the excitement about the new catty,I don't know how many of us have gotten around to reading it. On my phone now,but will check for you when I get home - if no one beats me to it. My guess would be no refills meansthe pads do not come out.

Ok, I just scrutinized the heck out of my print catalog and here is what I can see/guess. They don't list refills for sale, and the hinge/frame of the pad holder is slightly different (I think this will make it less likely to break). However, when I look at the scrubby pad close up, there is still the little tabs on each side of the scrubby areas, so I'm guessing you can still pop the pad out, they just aren't selling refills.
No promises though since I have yet to see one in real life or talk to demo support about them.

Don't get me started on how confusing the retired list was/is:-)
And yes, the real catalog is so much easier to navigate than the silly PDF:-)
I love the look of the new catalog --- it's so streamlined and easy on the eyes! I really like the fact that there are less holiday stamps and more everyday stamps, and love the way the sections are divided. SU! has really taken some of the best ideas from the market and put "just enough" of everything in the catalog. I found it particularly interesting that the hostess section is in the back of the book --- really emphasizes how great the products are before ever enticing anyone to have a party to earn free items.
I can't find the list I started but I know it was stamp sets I was loving!! I do like the new colors, but will probably just get the markers and an assortment pack to start. I love the fact that you can get Circle Circus in clear mount now! I've been waiting....!!
Urgh! Please tell me that most of my existing refills (with the exception of the 5 or so that I know were reformulated) will work with the new dense foam pads. I CANNOT entertain the idea of replacing the pads AND the refills. My budget is already in cardiac arrest!!!

YES! All but the five they changed the formula on should work on either type of pad. Deep breath:-)

If you`re going to replace all your inkpads ... you might as well rejoin, and then you can order them on your first order with your 30% discount. ;)
And, since you get to make your own Starter Kit ... you could make it entirely of ink pads.
See ... it`s all working perfectly.
(except for my keyboard which seems to think I want to type in French!!!)
I got a phone call tonight from one of my customers in New York. I live in Maryland and I used the customer selector to mail my friend the new catalog. She got the new catty today and I don't even have mine yet and won't get it until next Monday when I get my demo order. Grrrrr.....that makes me a bit angry. All demonstrators should have gotten their cattys before their customers. They said they wouldn't start mailing the customers until the 14th. Heck it will be the 14th before I get mine.
You took your new stamp pad to DINNER?
Now that is true love!
I don't use Stampin' Up ink, but I am curious. What makes the new stamp pads different from the old? Is it just the pad itself or is there a formula change?

They should make that link secure. If they did that, it would prompt you to log in before you could view it.
If a demo was to post a link to a thread from the demo side of this site in this thread, and a non demo clicked it, you would be told you don't have permission to view it.
If I was to post a link to a website meant for employees at my work, you wouldn't be able to access it without logging in as an employee.
Yes, it is a shame that a demo shared that link when they were asked not to, but why isn't SU! taking it upon themselves to make sure it doesn't happen? Maybe they need to hire some new techie people who understand how it works. It's done all over the web.
Also don't Demo's have a Demo agreement they sign and I am sure this would be covered in it. I don't know since I'm not a Demo but one would think!

It's just the pad they have changed (except for five colors that they re-worked to make work with the new foam pad). The pad itself holds the ink better and inks your stamp better!
Well I was tickled to see the new catty and I love it!! I am a big SU fan. Oh I think those pinks in the In Colors are gonna rock! I should be a demo to save myself some moolah but I don't want to hassle with it. I have a great demo!
