Just thought of something regarding ribbon... Some of the colors that won't be available in ribbon in the new catalog are available in satin ribbon in the mini catalog through Aug 31. I know Choc Chip and Bashful blue are.
I have heard that there is a new lighthouse stamp set. I hope to have my new catalog from my demo this upcoming weekend. I can't wait to see the new colors & all the new stuff.

There is a new lighthouse set called Uncharted Territory. It is a set of three and has a lighthouse on a cliff with seagulls flying around it, a man in a sailboat, and a sentiment. The images look a little like they've been sketched. That is the lines are soft, not crisp, if that makes any sense.
I'm not a demo and have seen the new catty. I was toying with the idea of becoming a demo, but after my review, I decided not to. I only have a few of the new sets on my list and I wasn't even too jazzed about them. WHile many of the new sets are cute, I just can't justify buying them when I know I won't use them enough. My wish list from the new catty barely reaches $300.

My list keeps growing. It doesn't seem like all that much until you write it down and look at how many items are actually there. My mom and I always joke that we're going to have to pick up cans from the side of the road to sell whenever a new catalog comes out. LOL
I'm loving the new textured embossing folders, too. There are at least 2 new in this catty that are on my list....not to mention the Square Lattice one from the summer mini.
I got a peek today. I'm liking the studio sketches and the greeting card kids...... not much else impressed me as far as stamps. The new colors are fab! I'm liking the sunny garden greenhouse gala and jolly holiday DP.

Just saw my catty today. I did not think much of the new lighthouse set. Not much to it -IMHO. But - you may like it.
I have the new catty in my hands today. Not blown away by much of anything. No must haves. I think I like the new owl punch, if I remember, a silhoette Christmas set.
I do like all of the new colours and ribbons etc -but it's so pricey to buy so many new colours!! I'll probably get the paper, but not the inks.

Oh, I missed the lighthouse! Sounds great!

Yes they did - 13 markers for new core colors is $35.95
The In Color Maker Set is $14.95
Thanks for the info! I think I read somewhere that the set of 13 watercolor crayons for the new core colors were almost $40. I was afraid the markers would be more than that.
I got my copy today and wrote my thoughts on my blog.
Personally, I like it much better than the 09-10 catalog. Love the hostess level 1 sets! There are some stamp sets I want - not a lot but some. There are several new accessories I'm interested in - the pearls you can now by separately. And I really love the new antique brads.
Cardstock went up in price but as far as I can tell, that is the only thing.
Some of the new colors and returning In colors I like and some I could do without. Too many light pinks, too many reds, no lavendar, medium purple or basic medium blue. I like the neutrals palette a lot. Much prefer it as its own color family.
One thing I don't get is the pricing on the make-up watercolor crayons. 17 new colors for $40. Yet, the individual color families are 10 colors for just $16 or $17. This makes no sense at all.
I agree with other comments about the ribbon. If a color comes with ribbon, it comes in all the ribbons but there are so many colors that have no ribbon at all. In the Regals collection, the only color that has ribbon is navy. Also, I really wish SU! would sell smaller quantities of ribbon like PTI does. It takes forever to go through 15 yards of one color. I wish I had known they were not going to have choc chip and some of the others in ribbon. I would have bought some of those.
Lisa...wanted to say that I agree about the ribbon. Especially chocolate chip. If it helps, the summer mini runs thru the end of August and has some of the satin ribbon in it. They have both Chocolate chip and Bashful Blue so I am going to be getting both of those in the satin before they are gone!

Whoops, I posted my reply above before I read this post from you. Sorry!

If I remember correctly you get 17 crayons for 39.95 but I read somewhere on SCS that the price includes 4 new tins for the core colors
I like the lighthouse set, a lot. It's a little different and that's why I'm attracted to it. I love this catalog. Just got mine today and have flipped through many, many times. Can't wait to order.
Thanks for all the info! Since it appears I'll be waiting several more weeks to get my own catalog, I appreciate all of the help on here. (I will be checking it out online this weekend though.)
This always happens to me, I don't think twice about a set, then it becomes the hotness and I see the coolest things done with it and have to have it. I never gave Medalion a second look till I saw the galler. Then on my heck I realized it was awesome. ;)
That happened to me when I saw the Design Paper that looked like newsprint. Then I saw cards and 3-D items made with it and put in another preorder for it.

I've seen the catty and besides one wheel, there are only maybe two stamps sets that are in consideration. A few accessories and two DP's. Other than that, nothing flipped my trigger. I'm sooo glad I decided not to continue being a demo! I'd be hard pressed to spend the $$ to try and sale enough to make mins!!
I will say that the samples are stepped up!! I like the look of the catty, just very little in it enough to buy!! LOL!!
I heard that too. In the catalog, there is a link for the color kits. I haven't tried it yet but assume you have to wait until the catty goes live?
I just tried it and it returns an error message from SU.
I'm just confused as to why the marker new color kit has 13 colors (35.95 FYI), the watercolor wonder crayons new color kit has 17 colors (39.95) and the stampin' pastels new color kit has 19 colors (14.95). Wouldn't you think all the kits would have the same number of new colors? My brain hurts.

Well, it would seem so. But, in some of the collections, some of the colors have been made into markers. Some of the In Colors were made into markers so maybe only the newest colors would be in the color kit. None of the In Colors that are now part of the collections were ever made into crayons. Likewise with the chalks. Plus a couple of the neutrals were never made into chalks. I hope that makes sense. I can't say for sure if I'm sorrect because it's probably explained better in that link. But, I did count all the colors that I don't have crayons for and it was 17. It would be the same colors for chalks plus Sahara Sand. I don't use pastels very often so I'm not sure what #19 would be. :???:
I just got my new catalog and I love the whole layout. It is probably the best one they have had in a long time. I have soooooooo many stamps already that I went right to accessories. I loved so many things there and the design papers are great too. There are some stamp sets I definately want and I loved the hostess sets in the first stage. I am taking it to bed and having an escape time with it before I go off to sleep.

I'm assuming it will be crumb cake AKA kraft.....we've never had any kind of coloring tools in that color before (that I'm aware of at least)

So I got to get a quick peek this morning - and I like the "catty" - the book itself it wonderful.
I didn't get to complete my wish list, as I had to get to work. I actually found several non-new stamps I liked and quite a few new ones.
I love the new in colors, and the new color colors - LOL
I'm out of town next week, so will get my catty when I get back and can't wait to sit down and really go through it. I want more out of this one, than I did the last several.

I got my new catalog yesterday. What fun to look through. I marked a few things that I would like to have, but nothing that rolled my socks up and down enough to have to order on July 1st.
It always takes a few times to go through to really absorb and see all of the new things and start getting ideas. Looking forward to a few more leisurely look-sees through to fill up my wish list. I've really gotten excited about some of the new colors. I don't know if I'll be able to wait till stamp club starts again in August to get some of those.
does the new catty go live tonight at midnight? or at some other time, just want to know what to expect. Since I have had no one to show it to me that won't charge me for it....
So I still have not seen any sneeks or previews. My demo is going to ship the catalog to me when she gets it.
I decided I'm going to burry my head in the sand and not look at it online (which really isn't that fun anyhow for me) and when my friend Roniece gets hers from a girl locally sooner i'm going to NOT look at it. I'm going to be totally fresh to the catalog when it comes to my house!
I've never done that, I usually find a sneek peek or look at it online or bribe some local demo to let me look at it early.
I'm very excited.

My catalog arrived yesterday from my demo and I finally had a chance to look through it for the first time this morning while snuggling w/ my little guy. Without looking through it again, a few things I like...storage for the clear blocks, dies, and punches. I'm a storage nut so those kinds of things are always appealing to me. The new colors look fabulous, but I'm probably going to join a ribbon share so I don't have to get a huge roll of ribbon. I still have rolls of 1/4" grosgrain from a few years ago that I'm trying to get through. Did I miss it, or is there not a way to order a pack of paper with the newly introduced colors? I happen to already have the old in-colors and whatnot in my stash and just need the new colors. The owl punch is super cute too...I can see my kids having a ball with that one. I sure wish this new 'slim' punch style had been around when I'd started this addiction. It'd sure be nice to trade out my old style punches for the new ones!

You were right! The crayons include Soft Suede, Basic Gray, Melon Mambo, and Rich Razzleberry. The pastels include Sahara Sand and Very Vanilla.
I found this list that has the colors in each kit, but no prices. It looks like you can get a new color full size inks + cardstock sampler package (the in-color kit in the catalog is 29.95 for 5 inks + 20 sheets of cardstock, so maybe about 35-40 for the 6 new colors?
