new SU chalks, anyone else got this problem?

I got a set of SU 48 chalk pastels sometime in 2003?? I think. I love them. My Mom recently purchased the new 48 chalk pastels(redesigned with the new colors), and they are AWFUL! We stamp a lot together lately, and I am soooooooo disappointed in hers. The colors are so very pale, especially if you compare them to mine. For instance, if you run your finger across my Bordering Blue, you get that color when you swipe it on scratch paper. On hers, you swipe your finger across it, and get nearly no color at all! We do a LOT of tiles in fundraising for St Judes, and it is very difficult to use the chalks/blender pens in her set. Anyone know if all the new chalk is useless, or did we get a lemon!?

I have the new set and do not have that problem. I would call your demo and ask her to take a look at it and see if it is defective or perhaps just reflecting some color changes.
