I just got back from Joann's and getting some! LOL I am thinking of going back on my way to pick son up from school to buy one more! I need to excercise some restraint.......awww i will start tomorrow!
Sometimes the coupons are good for 2 weeks...and they skip sending out the flyers on the alternate weeks. Or, you could try telling the cashier that you didn't get the flyer, they will give you the discount if you fill out a form with your postal code on it. I find M's flyers are very hit and miss with our papers.

I had an email from michaels earlier this week that due to bad weather, last week's coupon was being extended for another week (that would make it good until Saturday, 1/27 by my calculations!) "Some" Michaels stores will allow you to fill out a form, if you forget your coupon. However, some have stopped doing this. I don't know if they will allow this procedure during the extension week, however.
My Michaels does accept competitor's coupons (joanns and hobby lobby) but they must be originals--from the newspaper or the flyer--not from the hobby lobby website . . .
Someone on SCS was turned down regarding using a competitors coupon when Michaels themselves did not have one that week.
Sigh. The lengths to which we must go to get our toys
The coupon from last week was good at Michael's this week also. There will be no coupon this Sunday either but there will be one again next week. At least that's what the Michael's I work for in the New England district has for the next couple of weeks.:( I feel your pain. When there is no add my hours get cut and than I can't afford my toys.

Mine had the same policy- but I had to tell the clerk!!! She cks with the mgr and he says- you passed the notice when you came in the door- she says-oh well like I read!
The prob is mine has a poor selection of CB stuff- not even the replacement plates if God forbid *gasp* I should need one. (I'm a Girl Scout-be prepared). I got a better choice from the internet- but even some of them aren't arriving until next week because they were on BO.:(
Diane, did you hear that AC Moore is now selling the CB? I hope they have a better selection than Michaels and JoAnn's.
That's great- I've always preferred it to Mike's-cheaper and I never understood why it was put a block away from an existing store. Are they already there? I need to go TOMORROW!:-D Thanks Linda
I just went and bought my CB today and what a hassel! I went to Joanne's to use my coupon but found out that they sell there's for $10.00 more then Michael's. So I called Michael's to see if they take the competor's coupon and she said yes. I ask if there was any restirctions she said no. So she held one. When I got there and gave my coupon to the clerk she said they do not use the e-mail ones. I said it was an orginal not a copy ( in color) and she said no. I finally talked to the manager and he said no because people can may a bunch of copies. I stated that you can get multiple news papers to get them too but he still would not give it to me. So I went to a friend and she traded me with her coupon plus she gave me an extra! So I went back and also bought some dies. What a pain. Just so you know Joanne's price on the dies are more too. 3.00 more on the larger ones and 1-2 more on the smaller ones. Go figure! I would have gone to Hobby Lobby but they only carry the Cricuit. Which by the way is under $200. Well I am happy now! Time to make clippies!

I haven't seen them for myself, but I've heard they have GOBS of them. I just have to get there because I NEED them.
Yep, last weeks coupon was good through today, according to my store manager. One of our cashiers keeps refusing to believe it cause she didn't hear it DIRECTLY from the district manager...ugh....but it's true...they've been using them all week!
I wish we had AC Moore here --I don't think there are any in Wisconsin. Even the nearest Hobby Lobby is 40 minutes away, I just went for the 1st time over Christmas. Definitely worth taking another trip, though --when I have a 40% off coupon!!
STAMPINPETRA --boy, would I have raised a fuss!!! I would have argued that you called, & someone told you that you could in fact use a competitors coupon! Whenever I call about something like that I always get the person's name, because 9 times out of 10 the story will be different when I actually get to the store. Usually if you say "so & so said yes when I called" they will give it to you.
I wonder why Joanns is more expensive?? I went there last night --40% off coupon in hand & all I bought was Valentines for my son --which were on sale --& brads --which were also on sale --so I still have my coupon. Almost all of their rubber stamps are gone, I wonder when they're getting more in??

Interesting how often the information doesn't funnel down to the clerks at the front line. I tried to use my expired coupon at Micheals and told the clerk that it was extended because of the weather. She refused and said, "our weather wasn't that bad, so you can't use it." It took quite a bit of convincing and arguing to get her to do that...She finally relented, but was quite rude about it. When I reminded her that the $1. Christmas stamps were 90% off....that sent her into outer space. Oh well.
I finally decided to get the bug. Went to AC this am as the bug is on sale. Sold out. Called Mike's and they have it, but won't take the AC online coupon. I stupidly used my regular AC coupon for another item. No bug for me.(insert tears)

There'll be another coupon. Have faith! It'll be work the wait.
