Default Not sure where to put this question.....

OK - I have taken the plunge to auction my RETIRED stamps on the "e" site.

I have NOT put pictures in b/c of copy right infringement and yet MANY many sellers do - am I allowed to post pics - ir am I supposed to have them email me privately to get one?

I certainly want to live up to the spirit of copyright law and get in trouble - ethics and integrity mean alot to me - so am I being silly here or what?

I truly don't klnow what "policy" is for secondary market? Aren't posted pictures of sets considered "republishing" a picture I don't have permission to publish???

Anyone care to share?

Not trying to make anyones life complicated.....

oh what to do what to do.

Smiles

Kate

Policy is that you're allowed to post pics of retired stamp sets. They changed that rule I believe last year or the year before. Its the only time you're allowed to do it. I always put Copyright Stampin Up! somewhere in the auction too.

I believe that SU has recently changed their policy on this so it is now all right to use photos of your actual Retired stamp set in your auction. They have closed down some auctions recently that use copyrighted photos of current stamp sets.

Question

I'm not aware of any copyright law that says you can't post pictures on "E-" I've sold sets before and I know a lot of others who have to. I hope it wasn't the wrong thing to do. You see them on there all the time. I think the problem is with the current sets.

Stampin' UP!s images, in any form, including the stickers on the wood blocks are copyrighted. Therefore, unless SU! gives permission (which they did with only the retired sets) you can't use their images in any way.
