The Stampin Write Markers have not been discontinued but have increased in price from $120 to $132.95.
The Stampin Write Journalers have been discontinued and replaced with 2 color choices which if I remember correctly are black and brown.

the journalers have archival ink that is permanent and won't fade.

The journalers are/were lightfast & permanent - great for scrapbooking. But you can't use them to color on a stamp. They had 2 sized points, but no brush. While I use them for SB'ing, I only used black & brown for ease of reading - I can imagine that sales volumes on the other colors were probably pretty low.
