Leslie -

I saw the guy demo this one at Auntie Amys. I have recently bought the Silent Setter from crazyscraps.com for $16.99. It is awesome, makes no noise whatsoever. It comes with 3 sizes of paper piercing and setters. I would recommend it over the other highly.

Leslie, its so easy to use, I bet it wouldn't affect your carpel. You basically just push down on it to set the eyelet.

I know, I know, I said it before, but I love mine. I have 5 customers that bought it after trying mine out. Wish it was in the SU catalog.

I just read a thread on Scrapbook.com about the silent setter. Somone with carpal tunnel had gotten it and used it and said it was awful for that. Another person said that she had weak wrists and had a lot of pain after using it. The general concensus was that it worked okay for going through one layer of cs at a time and for setting SOFT metal eyelets. My question is--how do you know which are soft metal v. which are not? Anyway, just thought I'd chime in with what I'd read. Hope it helps!

The SU eyelets are aluminum which is a soft metal, I know that the making memories eyelets are not so soft. The only one for SU that I'm not sure is soft is the gold, can anyone back me on this?
