Default Nugget boxes, comment and question

I love these little boxes, and the samples are just beatuiful. Every single one of them. After a LOT of work, I finally got one to come out right. I think good lighting (and being able to read a ruler) are the two most important things.

Are you using cardstock for the box and cover, or just for the box? I have tried a lot of combinations (and wasted a lot of paper when I measured wrong.....just a tad, but it stuck out like a sore thumb). Thanks for any tips.

I use card stock for both the box and the cover. But, the suggestion to make one out of 'scrap paper' first saved my supply of card stock!!! I am planning to make some out of the Holiday Thyme paper soon...figure it's thick enough. HTH

Smile Thank you Calgramma

The one I got to turn out right was with cardstock for the base and scrap book paper Xyroned onto cardstock for the sleeve. I tried using just scrapbook paper for the sleeve and didn't like it. I am looking forward to making more of these, but first have to get some good light to work under!

last year I made about 75 or 80 of the little ones & I used cs for both top & bottom. This year I'm making the larger (2 rows) and am using cs for both. Holds up better for me.

I just made some last night and i used CS for the box and then scrapbook paper for the cover. I was making the smaller boxes and I was able to use up some of my larger scrap pieces that I probably would not have used other wise!
