Default Oh good grief! 35 bottles of Stickles!

I have to quit shopping while at work or I'm really going to be in trouble. I just purchased an entire set of Stickles. Okay - so I got a SUPERB deal! But 35 colors? I was just looking for a few shades of green ...

<laugh>

I love Ron White!

When I log into Ebay - there's a 10% off July purchase coupon.

Question: When you put Stickles on clear acetate - do you attach it to the card Stickle side up or down? (smooth or sparkly)?

Danger, danger! There are new Stickles coming out. Tim Holtz has distress stickles (pearlized) and there's also glitz (Suze Weinberg) Stickles , both premiered at CHA.

I've seen a picture showing new bottles. I think it was on one of the CHA posts.

I think I'll stick (no pun intended!) with these for a little while.

Talking stickles

I just bought about 18 bottles from Frugalities, but I'm still looking for a chocolate color (which is ironic since I just got a smidge of chocolate on my keyboard just now as I was typing - don't worry! Licked it off! I'm using the library computer! *snort*).

Jutta

PS Just kidding about the library computer - I'm really at work! HA!

OK, everyone; sing with me!

35 bottles of stickles on the shelf, 35 bottles of stickles
if one of the bottles should happen to fall, 34 bottles of stickles on the shelf...

...couldn't resist! I just think you are a lucky gal

I stamp and put the stickles on the back of the acetate so when you turn it over (once dry) you see the stamp and the glitter color coming through.

Am I stickles impaired? I often goof and ruin my card by squeezing too hard. Is there a trick?

do the first squeeze over scrap paper. i've had that happen to me a few times. seems air gets built up or something and then it pushes it all out. i always squeeze over scrap paper first. it wastes a little, but better than ruining a whole card.

Yer all crazy! That's most of what I love about this site!

The Stickles are in the mail. Shipped yesterday. Now I get to check with USPS every 20 minutes to see if they've moved - even though USPS updates nightly.
*sigh*

Yummy! How fun for you, lol! And I think you got an awesome deal, too! Those retail for 2.99 over here in Puerto Rico. The small bottles. The big ones are 4.99!
I have over 30 bottles too, some repeats of favorite colors. Can't resist them!
How awesome that new ones are coming out!

Does anyone know how to "renew" stickles that gets a little dried up in the bottle? I thought of zapping it in the microwave for a few second's but, I'm a little afraid of doing that. It seem's like it would work though, it would just melt it a little. Then again as hot as it is around here maybe I will just sit them in the sun for about 5 minutes - that should loosen them back up.
Anyway, if anyone has an idea I would appreciate you sharing.

I've got them all as well :-) Ok, I don't have the Ice Stickles but I cannot wait for the Tim Holtz Distress stickles to hit the stores.

Enjoy them! They're fun and it's so easy to glitter stuff up. There is so much in a bottle that I'm actually letting my kids use my glitter glue once in awhile.

Hi Joan! I imagine they need to be used like the fabric paints in those same type containers. Turn them upside down to let the stuff gently move to the tip end (I mean, do this before using them, of course you have to use it this way!;) ). Don't shake because this makes air bubbles. I agree with the person who said squeeze some out onto scrap paper. If it gets clogged, use a straight pin.

Back in the 80's-90's when painted shirts were all the rage (I just saw a picture of some sunflower shirts & shorts I made for MIL & me---what WERE we thinking???), I used to botch so many times because of air bubbles. Somewhere along the way I heard these tips. Not sure I ever applied them, but this is what they SAY to do! LOL!

Hope this helps! You are such a talented lady that I can't imagine you goofing ANYTHING you make! It's all beautiful!

I hope I'm not hijacking this thread but with so many stickles lovers here you can probably help. I'm having trouble with my stickles clogging up. I keep using a pin to unclog, but it is super hard to squeeze out and frustrating. What is the trick?

The stickles that I've been using since (way) before I got my full set - I am always sure to shake the bottle HARD. Then run a straight pin/needle through the tip. Shake HARD again. Stickle away. Sometimes I have to squeeze a little away first - no sparkle.

I hope this helps. Perhaps one of the folks with problems might email Ranger and let the rest of us know?

I'll give it a shot ....

To help keep the tip from clogging, I was reading on Cindy Lyl'es blogs soem nots she took from the Tim Holz demo(I saw him but missed this) to slam your bottle on you work surface after using, that gets the goo out of your tip and prevents clogging, HTH!
