No one in my house would really know what I'm talking about but, I have to tell someone. I was looking on Ebay at what sets are going for and they have that hostess set ( All-Around Argyle)on there the auction isn't even over yet and it is up to $46.00. Is it just me or is that a little crazy? Could be one if those things, where they can't get things where they live, but, WOW!!!!

I agree most of the time sets sold on e-bay go for quite a bit over retail. What I don't understand is the people who buy current sets (which is a no-no according to SU!) for over retail. Find a demo for goodness sake and save your money for more stamp stuff!

I thought it was just fine so long as the seller isn't a demo. I don't think SU has so much power that they can tell me what I can or can't do with my own possessions as a non-demo (which is different from them being able to tell me what I can or can't do with their copyrighted images).

I would have to read the fine print again but I believe that the demonstrator who sells a current set to a customer who then sells it on e-bay is in jeapordy of being terminated.

Ok, I just checked. This is a direct quote from SU! to demonstrators regarding internet auctions:
We also investigate demonstrators who sell current products to others for the purpose of reselling on auction sites. This, too, is a violation of our Internet Auction Policy.

Only if they know that the customer is placing the order for the sole purpose of turning around and listing the merchandise on eBay. Otherwise we'd get in trouble every time a customer went to eBay to unload a set they didn't want anymore! ;)
