I have been cleaning again(gasp!).I even took pictures but that is another thread.
I thought about starting 2 boxes of goodies. I will fill them with new or slighty used/opened stuff that for "whatever" reason I don't think I will use again.
I will send them out to 2 random people. They can remove anything they would like to have and then "add" something from their own stash.
They would send this box to someone else and we can see how far it will go from there.
Before I do this I would like some opinions and feedback to see what all of you think.
EDITED TO ADD: I am going to STOP right now(Monday 5:00 Eastern) and do a head count and see where we stand. I will OPEN this round back up if we still need people.

I think this is a great idea! - I do this kind of thing all the time - DH says its terrible to "re-gift" but I don't think of it as that - it's more sharing the love around - if I have two of the same item/stamp why keep both?? Thats just greedy
HI Granny,
I've hosted unmounted stamp and stamping supply round robins before. They are a lot of fun but you need to make your "rules" very clear in the beginning. Usually the rule is to match assumed dollar values. I know in the RRs I've been in there have been some people who took advantage of the anonymity of the swap and took out all the good stuff only to replace it with crud. Sometimes I've been flabbergasted by the garbage that came back to me! I have found this happens less often when the host just states from the beginning that they should try to match values. I think it is the old saying about rules and locks being there to keep honest people honest.
I've been looking at my stamp room lately and noticing all the really good "crap" I have and thinking it's time to stop being a collector and start using it or moving it. If you start up a RR I'd love to join as I believe some of my "crap" could very well be your "treasures".
Hi, Granny, this sounds like a great idea, I'm game. I'll PM you.
Cyn

Here are a couple thoughts that helped previos RRs run smoothly. 1. Post the list of people so we can track where it is and how long before we get it. 2. Set a firm turn around time. I found that some people are excited to get the box, but then slow to get it back in the mail.
I'm in and I will send you a pm! Can't wait to see what is in the box that arrives. I have so much stuff it will be great to unload a little and make someone's day!
We have room for 2 more people to give us 3 groups of 10.
I will make a list of each group and post later this week.
I will start 3 boxes from here and include a list in each box of where it needs to go next.
We are going camping so I will not get to the post office Saturday morning but will get them started early next week.(Lisa works next door to a post office )

Did you work me in? If so can I be either first or last?~ We have a wedding & vacation in August (the first 2 weeks) I wouldn't want to hold things up by not being home to keep the ball rolling
