I am on the fence about purchasing a stamp pad holder. Can anyone coax me to purchase the Stampin' Up! color caddy to me? Are you happy with yours or do feel regret? I know it only holds the new pad style, which I am aware of. Help me get off the fence, I am getting splinters!

I've heard from a couple people that it "sticks"-sort of hard to turn. Anybody experiencing that? I'm thinking about getting one, too. Thanks for posting, valrocks!
I have it and it does "stick". I have to be honest and say that I am a little disappointed in it. I will say it is lightweight and more portable than a wood one, but just turns so stiffly. For my own personal use (which is what I use it for) I would prefer something that more readily turns. Suzanne

It does have a handle on top, but I don't think it's made to be portable. It's light weight when empty, but when you put in all 48 stamp pads it's kinda heavy. I'm not saying you can't move it, but I don't think you could take it with you if you want to go to someone else's house to stamp. I think it's a great design if you want it to sit on your stamping table or have it in a cupboard for easy access. Mine is in my stamp cupboard. I just open the door and turn the caddy to the color group I want.
I love mine. I put it out when I have stamp camps, so the not spinning freely is great since all the pads would fly out if it did. I put a label at the top of each column specifiying what "family" is in that row. Then I used a sharpie and put RR, BB, EE, SS on each pad that went to that family. This helps a lot when the girls are trying to help me clean up! I also like that the pads have to be lifted a tiny bit to get them out, then they arent sliding out when I am moving it.
It looks nice and I just about got it, but most people haven't had that many great things to say about it. I asked my one friend where she got hers, she got hers on www.rubberstampstorage.com and I am really considering getting one from this website. They look so nice nice.
I have the CDJ Designs PortaInk Side by Side Traveler. I love it. It is a little heavy when loaded up but it has plastic panels that cover the front so that the ink pads don't fly out when I am transporting it.
I dearly love my caddy. It doesn't "spin," but, having children, that's a GOOD thing. It does turn easily, but it's not like a lazy susan. I have filled mine up with all my craft pads. Now I'm going to need another one for the classic pads and all my other ink pads! I see three caddies in my future!
I have one and like it. But I did put it on top of a lazy susan so it turns more easily. I don't spin it, but it is much easier to turn when looking for colors. And the old style pads do fit in it. I also put my markers in it right next to the ink pad.

I have one and I really like it. Mine doesn't stick but it doesn't spin freely either. I like the fact that you can organize all your stamp pads by color family without taking up too much space!! :P
