Default Organization!!

I currently use my dining room table for my stamping; however, I have a 2nd bedroom that I call my "craft room". I need ideas for organization!! It has a small square tile top table, a loveseat (for when my daughter visits form SEattle), a changing table, a small chest of drawer, a small antique rocker, and (of all things) a treadmill. HELP!!! I need a place to do my stamping (I'm also a decorative painter and have all those supplies, i.e. paints, brushes, books, wood projects, etc.). Any ideas? :( :(

Go check out the Container Store ... they have great org solutions for home offices ... I am working on getting my new craft room together as well. They are a little pricey, but they are very sturdy ... here are some suggestions ...

File Drawers - store paper in individual folders
wall shelves - store stamp sets & large accesories
labeled baskets - accesories (scissors, glue pens)

Hope that is kind of helpful... if anything go to the store and have them work up a quote for you so you can see how you can maximize your space and then go to Home Depot and buy the stuff for less. The planning is the hard part. Be sure you measure the room and everything before you go so that it is accurate.

Good luck!
ttfn & Happy Stampin'~

shelves, shelves, shelves... you can never have too many shelves!

A drawer unit with smaller drawers is nice for accessories. I splurged on a metal one with shallow deep drawers that slide right out and can sit on my stamping table whilr I use that accessory (like eyelets or embossing) - I got it from Ikea and I love it!

Oh, and did I mention that you need LOTS of shelves?

I mounted some cupboards in my stamp room. It sure helps keep the tabletops cleaner and it doesn't take up floor space. I just got some at Home Depot that are precut and you assemble them yourself ($50 or so).
