I just ordered from them yesterday. If your a new customer and order $40 you get free shipping. I order some Lunchbox tins for $5 each and other tin type things, I thought they were pretty cheap.
I got 3 rolls of that Terrificly Tacky tape, the red one we used at Jan VSN for only $8 FOR 3 different sizes! It ususally sells for about $4-5 a roll at the stores.

well crap, if i would have known that i would have ordered something else. my total was only $32
I love Oriental Trading for party favors, crafts etc. We order from them every year for our block party. They ship quick and I never have any problems. Even when I over ordered, returning wasn't a big hassle!
I would watch out for scrapbooking items--nothing is noted as acid free.
Actually I have a catty in front of me and it says "Our scrapbook products are acid and lignin free." I don't think that was the case when they first started out. I just ordered a few things from them - and have done so before. Their delivery is very quick and the quality - as long as you know what you're buying - is good.
I keep looking at their catalog. I used to order party items when my kids were young.
It seems to me that the scrapbooking items are not a great deal, like the stickers and party items. I'm thinking I can buy it for the same price in a local store. Am I wrong?
I have ordered from OT and love everything I have gotten so far. Have you gotten their catalog called Fun Expressions? All it is is stuff for stamping and scrapbooking. It is full of every embellishment that you can imagine! I was so excited when I received my first one. It's the best.
My order already shipped! I ordered last night, well this morning at about 1am and they already shipped it. Talk about FAST shipping!!
I like their scrapbooking products b/c it's all grouped together, like all the girls stuff, boy stuff, etc and it all matches, making it toooo easy to match up and complete layouts
I just ordered their ribbon boxes. (65/85104 RIBBON STORAGE BOX) Does anyone have these? They are paper mache and you can even decorate them. It says each have room for 34 rolls of ribbon and come in 4 pieces. box bottom, box lid, and 2 dowel rods. They have 17 holes on each side to string the ribbon through. I've been searching for an inexpensive way to store my ribbon....and I can decorate it too! Hope they are as good as they sound!

If you get a catalog you like I'd recommend checking them out on the web also. A lot of times they have some great clearance stuff that is super cheap! (Deep Discounts section)
Some things I like to buy from OT:
small crafts for kids
frosted photo boxes and paper organizers
divided embellishment boxes
coffee mugs with stampable inserts
Also, check out their teacher area - I think it's called Hands on Fun they usually have stuff you can use to stamp on.
My ONLY complaint about OT is the shipping. My orders always come by USPS and they are usually a pretty big box. So I have to hope that I'm around when the order gets here because the mailman won't leave it and it won't fit in the mailbox.
Well, Judy I was curious about all the talk of OT, so I went to the site to order a catty...should be getting it soon! I thank you, my DH does not!! lol
I just got my first order from OTC yesterday, just days after placing the order online. I ordered the while lunchbox tins, altoid tins, brads, and scrapbook paper sets. Was very pleased with everything except one paper pack, which had very flimsy, glossy-ish paper. It was a 12-sheet pack. The other 16-sheet packs I ordered (on sale for $4.95) were much better quality cardstock in cute patterns and colors. I would recommend them--and do look for the first-time customer free shipping discount.
I rec'd my package fromt hem yesterday, I ordered the lunchboxes, small round tins, CD tins, treat pillow boxes and red tacky tape. I'm happy with it all. I was worried that it might be a little flimsier or not as great a quality as the stores but it was all great. I would definitely recommend thema nd order from them again.
I am so glad I found this thread. I received my catalog last week and wasn't sure about quaility. Now I have another place to spend money.
Thanks everyone for the information.
One more thing - if you go through ebates.com you also get 3% back on purchases. I get stuff from them pretty frequently, and while I wouldn't say it's top of the line, I've been happy with my purchases.
I've been ordering from Oriental Trading for a long time and have never had a problem with anything. Their prices are so reasonable and the quality is usually better than I expect for the cost. I just got done with a swap where I used one of their plain boxes that resembles a book, if you'd like to see what you can do: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
This was my only experience with OTC and their Customer Service was VERY friendly, courteous, and helpful.
