Default Paint Chip vs SU colors

Does anyone have a document, and is willing to share it, that tells which brand of paint (Dutch Boy, Behr, Benjamin Moore etc) colors match up to SU cardstock colors???

Thanks!!!

I don't know anywhere that had paint which matches SU. However most all of the places that sell paint will match a color nowadays. Just take a piece of your cardstock in and they'll match it. All of the brand name places do it (Sherwin-Williams, Porter) and most of the home improvement stores (Lowes, Menards). I think our WalMart may even offer that service.

You can also make your own "paint chips" using SU ink-- use a solid stamp like the square or rectangle in Simple Shapes or Shape-Ups (both on page178 of the current catalog) and stamp once on a strip of Ultrasmooth (soon to be "Whisper") White cardstock with your chosen color, then without re-inking, stamp again about 1/4" from the first impression, then again about 1/4" from the second impression, and so on until you have the desired number of shades. Voi-la! Paint chips in any of SU's 48 colors!

I am forever taking in slips of SU c/s to look for paintchips to match. I never seem to remember, though, to write them down so I can remember them the next time. And except with reds, it is easy to match most of our colors. They blend so well with the current colors that the industry is putting out. And don't forget that what might match under those horrid lights at Home Depot might not necessarily match under natural lights outside or at home. Very frustrating.

I love paintchips and tend to go for names as well as colors. I did some baby tags not long ago in baby pinks and blues and left the color names on them because they were names like "Little Boy Blue" and "Rosy Posy" I stamped the little onsie from one of the sellabration sets from last year on them in white and embossed them. They turned out really cute.

I use SU cardstock to make my own 'paint chip'. Here is a link to one of my cards.
