Palette stamp and stick pad-what am I doing wrong?

I just tried this with glitter tonight several times and it just didn't work...even though I know it was tacky. Anyone have any tips?

Is the glitter too big? I think that "stamp and stick" works better with very finely powdered glitter.

Sometimes you have to heat it first.

I did heat it...several different tries at several different lengths of time. I even touched part of the design to make sure it was tacky like the directions said.

Oh well, I'll try it again later today and see if I can figure it out.

Jackie, if you figure it out please post! I just bought one of these pads and even with following the directions on their web site (www.stewartsuperior.com) I'm having problems. It's so frustrating to buy a product and not be able to get it to work! :mad:

I bought one and used it with Pearl Ex. It held it on really well but I used Versamark at the same time for a comparison. The images with the Versamark were so much crisper....it was like the Stamp and Stick sort of spread on the card stock.

I still need convincing that this is a useful product...so far, not so good.

I never did figure out how to get it to work...I just got out my heat and stick powder.

I have the pad stored upside down...I'll try it again when I feel like getting frustrated and let you know if that helped! lol!

Are you using it on glossy or coated cardstock? That's the only way I've gotten it to work well.

I used it on a transparency with dazzling diamonds without even heating it and didn't have a problem at all. They do say that non-porous surfaces need to be used or at least are those that work best, the glossy paper kind of mimic's that, for a while at least. Card stock isn't going to work as well, it absorbs the glue too fast. Perhaps spraying the cardstock with a matte finish first will help so it doesn't absorb as quickly.
