Default Paper piercing template

I would love to have a paper piercing template, but already have the other items in the mat pack. Does any one know where I could get a similar template without having to spend money for items I don't need? Thanks.

Dandee Images.com has lots of different templates for piercing. Paper piercing page

BUT...
...the patterns I have used are made of paper.... designs by Carla Prediger. Size of her patterns varies.... not quarter sheet. I just run them through the copier (which also makes it easy to enlarge or shrink a bit), then tape the cardstock to an old mouse-pad, tape the pattern over the cardstock, and stick holes through both. Got them in a local store years ago. They are available online here...

I have ordered the mat pack but it won't get here for a few more days. What I have been using are plastic canvas pieces and sheets with small openings. You can get them at Michael's and other craft stores. I have some that are round, square, heart shaped, and then some full sheets that you can design your own shapes on - cheap, too!

I bought a sheet of plastic canvas at Michael's for 69 centes, but it the size of the card front and just lay in down, and punch away. I have discovered to punch every other hole, and try to always punch in the same corner of the hole--I use bottom right--to keep your "stitches" in line. Works great, but I ordered the matt pack today at the workshop I went to. I'll see which one works best and report back.

I bought the mat pack and I'm glad I did, but I wish it were bigger, like card front size.

Oh thanks for asking this question..I too want the template to do faux stitching (cause freehand, it just doesn't work really well!) , but have the other stuff already..have searched many websites and not found what I am looking for..not interested in fancy templates for paper piercing..guess I will have to resort to the plastic canvas!! Anybody else have other ideas?

They sell this version on orientaltrading.com. I've never seen the SU version so I don't know if the holes are comparably spaced.

Thank you Theresa Romani for the brilliant idea of using plastic canvas to use as a guide to pierce holes in paper. It works great for me as all I wanted to do was pierce holes for straight faux stitching. I would never have thought of using plastic canvas, but it certainly does the trick. Thank you!!!!!

I made my own. I use a push pin tack instead of a needle because I like the size hole it makes. Take a piece of graph paper the size of a card front and with the teeniest hole punch they make punch out any place where you might want to make a hold in the future. Glue a piece of acetate to it and punch again through the acetate. You now have a template! I made these for friends for a stamp club project and gave them to them. They use them all the time.
