Did anybody get their Papercraft magazine yet for October? I saw them in the store but mine has not been delivered yet. Do they come later in the mail than in the stores?

Anybody like me remember the "good old days" when one of the benefits of subscribing to a magazine was that you got it BEFORE they appeared in the store??
Anyways, I emailed customer service at Papercrafts because I was noticing the same thing. Magazines in the stores--but I hadn't received mine.
I got a reply saying that they were just notified that the magazine was late going to/coming from the printer (but I guess they got enough to supply the stores??). This was about a week ago and they said I should have it in 2-4 weeks. They were kind enough to extend my subscription by one month for my "inconvenience."
Wow I think 4 weeks is unexceptable! I was worried that my magazine went to the wrong house, we often get our mail mixed up with another house.

I am in KY and I got mine about 5 days ago. This is the first time in a long time that I got it the month before the issue is marked! I usually get my DEC one in the middle of DEC, doesn't help much with the Christmas ideas that are usually in it. I almost always see it on the newstands before I get it, VERY frustrating!!!
I also didn't receive my issue so I called. I was told that my postal service probably lost it so they would extend my subscription by one month. Weird that she didn't mention it getting out late. I didn't want to take a chance on missing it so I went to the store and bought it. So much for the convenience of having it delivered.

I also called about 10 days ago, no mention of it being late, but thye did extend my subscription. I just bought one the other day, so guaranteed mine will come now!
I never received mine either in CA. I called and asked about it, because I saw it in the store. She told me they were all out of stock and she would extend my subscription by one month. I thought it just got lost in the mail, but apparently they've had a major goof-up this month! I'm hoping it will still come. I really don't want to have to buy it!
ok, I thought mine just got lost in the mail! I saw it on the shelves, on people's blog and my friend up the street got hers so I called PaperCrafts and they're sending me another one. Although it still hasn't arrived and that was a week ago...grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
PS: I wonder why some customer service people offer to extend subscriptions for a month and other reps do not. I would like an extension but probably am too lazy to call for a second time about it...

I really should have a subscription as it is way cheaper to. I buy every issue. But I think I am willing to pay extra to have it in my hot little hands instead of waiting like you ladies. I hope it gets better for you all.
My subscription should of started in Sept and I didn't get it so I emailed them twice no answer so I called them. I got my Oct mag two days ago. I live in Michigan.

The only reason I got an extension is because she claimed the magazine was no longer in stock, and she would not be able to send me a replacement.
I think we all should bombard them with a "form" email letter and tell how dissapointed we all are. What's the point of getting a subscription if they would rather sell my mag to a craft store and leave me hanging high and dry?!
This is really odd......I called Papercrafts about 2 weeks ago because I had not received the October issue and was told that they were completely sold out so they extended my subscription by 1 month. Seems really "strange" that a LOT of us didn't get our magazine this month!
I live in Texas and my sis lives in Michigan and neither of us received our October issue. I called and they told me it was mailed out so I should of had it by now. They entended my subscription by one month. My sis called the same day and they tell her they are having "printer problems" and that she WILL get her issue but it will be late.
Hum, who lotta stories going on here! What sucks is our Wal-Mart has the issue in stock and so does my sis's LSS...I guess we can see who Papercraft hold dear...not their faithful subscriber but rather their retailers!
add me to the list. i was told they were all out and would extend my subscription by one month. then, i receive a magazine , on the cover it says Oct. 2008 but...on the spine it saysAug/Sept. 2008...curious?
yesterday i received a letter to buy for next year and on the label i noticed they had a Mar.09 exp date. it was not extended.
i love this magazine and hope they get this straightened out. ever since the Rubber Stamper went away it is the only one i like.

I'm in KY too but haven't gotten mine. I always see it in the store about a week before I get mine, I think this is why:
When I used to work at my LSS one of the major publishers of magazine contacted us to let us know that we would be getting issues sooner than people with subscriptions because they were having the magazines mailed out to store directly from the printers instead of having them sent from printer to publisher to store. I think alot of magazines have gone this route so not much to do about it I'm afraid.
Mine has not arrived in Minnesota either. Not the first time that mine was late though (last time was 4 issues ago). I have subscribed for years now and have 6 months left on this current subscription -- but despite the offers "renew NOW and save", I am not going to do it.

Letter on the way from me!! I haven't gotten mine yet either. Now, I wonder if I will? Not sounding good. I was wondering where that was, now I know.
Thanks to the OP for the heads up!

This is really weird. I had to go get the mag to make sure we were talking about the same issue - October 2008. I have had mine for at least three weeks in southern IL.
That is why I quit getting it. They were always very late. I could get it in the stores a lot faster so I just discontinued my subscription.
Same here. I called them once a couple of years ago about it and they gave me some reason like they all sit in pallets in a warehouse and it's a matter of when that pallet goes out to its region, etc. Apparently there's no rush to get the pallets out within a reasonable time of each other!
No doubt that subscribers should be first.
If it's any consolation, it's been like this for years....
Not a one here in Philly either...:( and I did not receive the last issue either, but by the time I realized it they were taken off the shelves at the store....I did purchase the Oct issue...but still....I guess I will try to call them next week...
Papercrafts Magazine is fabulous--they have a good reputation and the staff is wonderful.
I am sure the lack of mailings is the result of an uncontrollable circumstance and they will get it remedied as soon as possible. I have forwarded this thread to a staff member.

Thanks Cammie. I just started subscribing this summer, because I love the mag so much. I've just never had this with any other magazine subscription before. And I get ALOT of magazines.
I'm back (post#33) that I had not gotten October 2008 issue.
Guess what was in my mailbox this morning? Nope....not the October issue but the November/December 2008 issue!!! Talk about early with that one. But still no October. While I am glad to get Nov/Dec so early with (taken from the cover titles) "Make digital cards this season", "121 Festive projects", "16 cute gift card holders". "Winning ideas from our 2008 Stamping Royalty contest" -- it would have been nice to have the Oct issue from my long, ongoing subscription too. Guess I need to make a phone call tomorrow.
