Splitcoaststampers.com - the world's #1 papercrafting community
You're currently viewing Splitcoaststampers as a GUEST. We pride ourselves on being great hosts, but guests have limited access to some of our incredible artwork, our lively forums and other super cool features of the site! You can join our incredible papercrafting community at NO COST. So what are you waiting for?
I have seen several of you mention Patstamps and going there to look at how to do different techniques. Unless I am looking at the wrong thing, you can't see any techniques at all without paying some price whether that be paper, online, or CD - is that correct?
Do you have a membership with her and is it worth it or can you find the same techniques on other sites?
Worth every single penny. Each issue is only $3. I signed up for only 3 issues. I thought......that's only $9. If I really don't like it, I'm not out too much. But, after receiving the first newsletter, I dove right in and order the CD's for all the back issues. I am not sorry AT ALL!!! My subscription will keep going!!
I think you might be able to find some of the techniques elsewhere but it isn't just the newsletter.....you do get to subscribe to her Yahoo group where e-mails come right to your personal e-mail with people's cards displaying the new techniques that Pat has published in her newsletters. I have been challenged by all the talent.
I'm not saying that there isn't talent here. There is a ton here. I think that Pat's newsletter and Yahoo group and Split Coast definitely compliment each other.
If you decide to sign up, tell them I sent you!! (Ann Clack) One of the cards that I posted in my gallery that I made with one of Pat's techniques got the most compliments of them all!
I hope that answers your questions!!

I think you can click on "Technique Junkie Swap Gallery" (located on the lower left-hand side of the page) and/or the "Stampin' Up Card Gallery" (located on the top right-hand side of the page) WITHOUT having a subscription.
I personally subscribed after I saw the awesome "expressonic watercolor" cards that were being posted here on SCS. I got all of the back issues (paper version) as well as a subscription for this year! (I didnt get the CD's, etc) I LOVE EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM!
Once you become a subscriber you can log on to the subscriber only pages where you can see the cards made with each technique AND you can also see each and every technique done step-by-step with PICTURES!!! ((I love this feature as I am a "visual" stamper!))
HTH!!
Just let me know if you have any other questions~~~
It's a fabulous newsletter and well worth the money. The paper issues are great with wonderful step-by-step photos and instructions. They are wonderful for keeping at your desk and really show you how to do the techniques.
Absolutely - Ditto Ditto Ditto! The only downside is the newsletter doesn't come every month LOL! Although, then I would never get anything done (aw'heck, I don't now  )

Absolute BEST resource if you are truly a "technique junkie". Have every issue and wouldn't miss a single one. There is NO resource out there that you get NOTHING but techniques for the incredible price of $3 an issue!
I agree, it's worth the money. I got the trial - 3 months and after the 2nd newsletter I was hooked. Before I even get the 3rd newsletter I sent a check for a full year, plus 2 back issues that caught my eye. The instructions are very clearly written -that even a stamping novice like myself can follow along.
I just signed up this week after being on the fence for a while! I ordered the cd versions of the past newsletters and a subscription!
After seeing some awesome cards made with her techniques and not having much available locally in terms of workshops I decided that this was a *must have!*
Can't wait to start receiving it!

Dear Jen,
I just wanted to let you know that when you purchase the CD(s) you also have access to her online tutorials so you can access them whereever you might find yourself stamping or just chatting with your stamping partners in crime. She gives a step-by-step "how to" on the CD/online which is really helpful for those of us who just need a visual. The Newsletter is nice because it is an overview of the techniques showcased for that particular 8 week cycle. As I sit down to "create" if I am going to try something new it is nice to have the hard copy version right there.
I think that you'll be happy that you subscribed!
