My pics are in the gallery. My dh is in the process of redoing (again). It will actually be bigger. Almost double in size. I will end up having 20 ft in wall to wall cabinets as opposed to the 9 ft. I have right now.
I will post those new pics as soon as my room is done.
I just recently got a stamp room, and posted the pics in the gallery that the above link brings you to. It is so much fun browsing thru and getting ideas and seeing how people set their things up.
I don't have a way to post pictures either but my husband says he could lock me in and I could live forever. I think short of a bathroom I have everything I need to survive!! I just wanted to say that when you are doing your room, remember to make it comfortable and inviting. My kids and their friends hang out while I stamp.
I do have a stamp room, but the other part is still my bedroom for the time being (and is a disaster because there is too much stamping stuff all over the place)
I could probably get a picture of 2 of the walls but it's nothing impressive.
My poor stamp room, it's such a mess... I'm not even gonna take a picture of the south wall- jeez how embarrasing! The sad thing is that I had to clean for like an hour just to get it this clean!
but here it is:

A hardwood floor may be better than carpet. . . easier to clean up when you drop a stamp pad or an inked stamp. My stamp room is under construction right now. It is a 11x13 room, I'm going to have an island in the middle with drawers and cabnets under an counter stop-work table top. Bar stools around the table to sit and work, not too many though, most stampers I know work better standing up. Anyway. . . I will have a TV, DVD/VCR, my computer and my stereo. The DVD/VCR was a christmas gift to my mother, but she bought herself one, I just couldn't take it back. I have 2 closets, one on each long wall. Each "short" wall will have a door. One goes into the laundry room, the other into what will be my finished basement. My biggest fear in life has always been a fire. Since this is in my basement, I want to exits out of my room. I will post before and after pictures. I finally hauled out a waterbed that had been taking up most of the room for the past 26 years!!! I've run out of room to put trash, otherwise my room would be closer to being finished right now. My DH and I purchased our house from my inlaws, who moved due to a job transfer, then retired. . . they never came back for their JUNK!!! I have 26 years worth of JUNK in my house I'm in the process of getting rid of. . . EBAY, HERE I COME .
Anyway, like I said, I'll post pictures soon. Sorry this is SOOO long!
Good luck!
Trisha

Inkylady, you're my hero!! If I had a REAL stamp room, not just piles of stuff all over my house, I'm positive it would look like that on a good day!

I did this as well... I didn't have 26 years worth, but I had a lot. I actually had a "crafty garage sale" rather than ebay. I priced things very cheap and ended up getting almost everything..... I had about $1500 to spend on new stamps and organization products!
Dawn, right now I have carpet and I hate it. My dh thinks I should have hardwood floors or laminate. So, since he's the one redoing it for me, he's putting what he thinks would work best. I do have a sample of cork flooring being shipped to me. It's suppose to be great.
I've been thinking about getting that multi color drawer unit you have. Do you like and is it really sturdy??

I don't want to hijack this thread but...... I was thinking of putting in hardwood floor in my future stamping room, any thoughts?
Yes. Do you have the "dropsy"? I do. Ink pads love to land pad-side down. And I'm messy. The main area by my counters is sheet vinyl. I do have a partial area that is carpeted (burber).
Personally, hardwood floors require too much maintenace for me. The most I'd go is wood laminate. Floors are easier to keep up than carpet. I keep a swiffer in the closet for quick pickups for scraps, etc.

No, I do not like it, it is not very sturdy, I have changed it already a few times to have just very light items in it, It is against the wall , I never move it, and, I am always fixing the drawers... thanks,,
darn it, thats what I was afraid of :( Oh well, thanks for saving me the mistake of buying it.

Wow, I love how you can just close the doors and it all disappears!
I just love this post!! We just put in an offer today on a bigger house in which I will have my very own stamp room!! No more sharing the office with my obsessive compulsive hubby ! This gives me loads of ideas...now I'm off to the gallery!
what an awesome and so clean and organized space. I'm green with envy

I have pergo-like floors in my craft room and absolutely love it! Its so easy to clean, just sweep and a quick mop.
sorry for the hijack....
I also have hardwood floor in my craft room. It's a converted bedroom now that the chicks have flown the nest. I really like it except the chair that I use I noticed is scratching the floor. I need to get a mat to put under the chair feet.
