How picky are you about the insides of your cards? If you use brads or eyelets, or something else that shows on the inside of your card, do you cover it up with another piece of paper or something?
It depends on the day how picky I am. Usually nothing can show on the inside of the card. When they do show up they all have to be pointing the same direction or slanting on the corners in the right direction. I just never know from one day to the next.

I don't cover up these things, in fact i try to to incorporate the brads or eyelets into another image on the inside of the card. I also like to sew paper on the fronts of my cards and lleave the little thread tails uncut on the inside of the card. I think it looks pretty cool that way, and I've gotten positive noices from my friends about it too. COOL So go fer it and BE a perfectionist.
Before I knew about putting brads, eyelets, etc. on the layers, I always put a "cover" on the inside of my card so these things didn't show. Sometimes, I will wrap a fiber or ribbon on the fold of the card, but most always, nothing shows on the inside cover.

I layer if I'm using a brad and put an insert in cards if I need to hide anything or just to make it look better but not every time. My main problem is if I write a message I forget words or add letters that don't belong. This way I can correct it without it being messy. Just did that mess yesterday without an insert so I'll be sticking to my old ways from now on.

I tend to layer my cards also so that for the most part no eyelets, brads etc... show on the backside. If it can't be helped I will do a small stamped image matted and then strategically placed to cover the backside of the eyelets, bards, etc...
I don't mind seeing the back of an eyelet in a card, but I layer so I don't see the back of a brad. Don't know why.
I think that might be why I don't use ribbon (although I have some and in colors I'd love to use) cos I don't really know how to adhere it, tie it off, tuck it under (????)
I layer a lot as well, but most of the time I don't worry about brads and eyelets showing. I mean logically they have to be somewhere, right? And most of the time if you cover it up it looks like you have covered it up. I mostly try to do "card fronts" that adhere to the main card, but on those occaissions when I do have something showing on the inside I leave it. MOst of the time people will go, "Oh cool, those are brads!"

Wow! I'm really feeling like a slob right now! I've never given a thought to eyelets, etc. showing on the inside of the card. I figured it gave it some charm. Maybe I should start covering them up, huh?

I make my card insides first so that if I make a mistake I can start over. My mistakes are usually spelling or missing words. I generally make card fronts or covers for both sides to hide eyelets or brads etc. I hate messy insides of cards. It took me forever and I wasted a lot of paper to learn to do the insides first.

I also do a lot of layering on my cards. I will cover up the eyelets and brads on my more conservative cards and leave them show on my "fun" cards. I guess it all depends on the day I am having. I am a perfectionist about everything else, but seeing an occasional eyelet or brad doesn't bother me. I think it gives it a little character.

Nah... leave them be... I don't cover them either, and nobody ever seems to notice. They're handmade, and while I try to make them professional-looking, I also like the charm. Sometimes they are adhered to another layer, but I don't go out of my way to do that. Plus, I often wrap ribbon around, and that always shows oh well!! I still think my cards are pretty hehehe

You can always cut a small slit in the folded edge of the card and thread the ribbon through, around, and tie on front.

I agree! If I started going out of my way to cover those things up I think I would stop having fun. It's just in my personality to not be that picky.
Guess I'm a bit picky but I like the insides of my cards to look neat...so therefore I cover up everything that I don't like...ie...backs of eyelets etc...
