I am having my first workshop on saturday and am also in my demos marker club...i am due to get the bold brights markers and the coordinating cardstock, i was also thinking of getting the petal points chalk pad in brights/subtles...what do you do with these? can you 'ink' your stamp with them? can you color in a stamped image with them, if so, how? some other uses???
I used them at a shoe box swap and it was awesome. We put a big post it in the middle and chalked around it pulling the colors from the middle to the edge of the paper. Starting with light colors first!! Looks like sun rays when using the soft subtles. Then when finished, remove the post it. Then ink directly onto the stamp. You can use multi colors if you want. We used the Palmy Breezes(?) and made the palm tree 2 colors (green for the top and brown for the bottom)

I have the pastels chalk fluid ink petal points pad. I LOVE it! I'm afraid I will use up all the ink in the creamy brown and purple one. I'm not sure how that compares to the full sized, mini sized inkpads and the cat eyes other than the prices. But chalk ink is a definite must! They ink up and show the colors very well.

The chalk inks are great to have. There are a couple techniques that can be done with them - crinkled chalks and chalk dragging come to mind. They give a soft "chalky" look to projects without the "chalk" mess.
The petal points can be removed individually to use directly on your stamp. Depending on what you are "coloring" - you can use them to color parts of your stamp. For detailed stamps this may not work though.
I have the soft subtles/bold brights set and love them. I am going to be getting the other set as well.

These are a must have!!! In as many colour ranges as you can afford. Not only are the excellent used straight on the stamp you can use them to make background paper, as they blend so well. Used on gloss paper and burnished, when dry, with a tissue or soft cloth 'out of this world'
