Default post wedding invites, and thank u cards

i had posted a bit earlier about making cards for a friend of mine who is getting married in vegas in april, and is going to have a party when she gets back. She has requested something to go with black and white which are their colors, and red roses. i am meeting with her saturday to show ideas. I need help!! attached is a pic of one of the ideas i have for the thank you card, but i don't know if it looks ok, or what i should add, change, etc. i made it before she for sure told me the colors...so im thinking of changing the gray to white, and stamping the cherish in red with red cardstock behind it... it's hard to tell in the scan, but there is the ring(s) from mini mates embossed in silver on cherish. any help would be greatly appreciated, pictures even better...thanks! oh yeah...she wants "something nice, but not too stuffy"

I really like the card the way it is also but if she wanted it to be with her wedding colors then I think the way you described would be great also, I am sorry I don't have any ideas for you though

I was going to say do a search for black & white cards, because I know I have seen some beautiful ones in the gallery.....so I searched and came up with only 4! I know there is more! But just a thought on your card, you could emboss the rings in red and they would really stand out and also incorporate the red.

perhaps make "cherish" in red, you dont want to do the red cardstock behind it because it would be overkill. Personally I would make the red fairly subtle, just using it as an accent color.

You made a very nice card---you should be proud!

Here's my opinion:
I think it would look very elegant if you made the background black and then kept the white and red as accents. Maybe do the thank you in white ink, or embossed white, or red embossed??? And then leave the square as it but use red cs behind the square and do the Cherish in red??? Just play around with it.

Good luck and post the finished product!

This is exactly what I was thinking. But I think the card is just beautiful "as is" and anyone would be happy to get such a thank you card!

thanks so much for all the comments and advice...keep em coming! my next question is what about the rsvp. i won't know until sat if she is having them mail back cards, or just wants people to call. don't u traditionally send a card (with return envie) with the invitation? or is that just for a huge wedding and reception. if sending a card for the recepient to mail back, is that card the same size as the invite? im so lost...
