For those of us that purchased the 120 ct prismacolor pencils hoping to use the copied rebate form from this site...I just received a response e-mail from Sanford asking if they will accept the printed form. The reply is below. Sorry ladies, unless someone knows where to get an original rebate form...we are out $25. I still think I got a good deal but I wouldn't have spent $40 if I had known ahead of time about the rebate. Oh well, live and learn.
Hello Nancy,
Unfortunately, we require an original copy of the rebate form. You will
need to go back to the store and obtain a new form.
Thank you for e-mailing us and for your support of Sanford products.
I'd like to know where you found a 120 count (Dick Blick only goes to a 96 count) and how the heck did you purchase it for only $40??? I'm dying to know.

Kymbers, they got them from Viking for a little over $50.00 and then there was a code for save $20.00 on a $50.00 purchase, making them a little under $40.00. I read about it on one of the threads... but I dodn't buy any myself.
I saw the rebates at Michael's right next to the pencils.

I would love to have you send one of those forms to me!! i just got confirmation that the order was delivered to my sister in laws house and i will be soooo sad if i dont qualify for the rebate! How can i thank you?
meanwhile i will look around my town, and if i find some will offer the same to anyone else!
 misti
I was at my Michael's yesterday picking up the supplies I needed to do the color "pop" technique and purposely looked for the rebate form....not a one.
I called the Sanford 800 #, was rerouted to the rebate # for MN, which is where to send the rebate. The nice lady I spoke with said the printed form should be alright. Linda Seaman
I just checked the website and the form is from their website it looks like. I can't imagine them not accepting it when it's from them but who knows????
I found the rebate forms at Joannes. I picked up 5 extra so if you pm me with your mailing address I will send out what I have. It does seem they should take a form from their own website, why else would they bother to post it? If anyone wants a form let me know.--Tracy
I also have an extra rebate form - if someone pm's me I'll be happy to mail it out. Oh - I got the rebate forms at JoAnn's yesterday and they still had dozens of rebate forms left on the "pad" .

I'm glad I got the 48 count...I'm only out $5 if the form doesn't work.
Kymbers...use QLN before the product code and you will see the discount. Just search Prismacolor and it will bring up their products. I'm getting the 48 count for around $22 and if the rebate is good I'll get another $5 back. The 120 count is sold out (at least in my area of the country).
I too found rebate forms at Aaron Brothers. You can go to Aaronbrothers.com to see if there is a location near you. If you need a rebate form I will gladly mail one out to you
My daughter and I both sent ours out today before I saw this post. Well I called and spoke to someone at Sanford, they directed me to the person that handles the rebates. It seems a lot of us have called, she is in the process of checking it out. They just moved and apparently the people she needs to speak to are not available at this time. She told me that maybe Viking is not allowed to have the rebates. She was not sure why they would not have had the rebate forms to send to us, she thought that might be the reason. She told me she would call as soon as they determine what they have decided to do. She told me that she has received a lot of phone calls today. Her name is Dorathy McGee. I hope it is in our favor.
I too have been able to locate the rebate form from our local craft store and the reason I was calling was that my original receipt was sent this morning. So even though I have the original rebate I don't have the original sales slip now. She asked if I kept a copy, which I did.
Hopefully they will decide in our favor.
Oh man...I am going to be sooo bummed if I don't get that rebate! I'm already thinking I'm insane for getting the 120 count set! I was at Michael's tonight getting the stumps and mineral spirits...no rebate forms there.
If any of you still have one of the original rebate forms would you please please PM me? I'll glady send you SASE!!!!!!! Thank You!!!!!
I picked up 50 Prismacolor original rebate forms at JoAnn's tonight, I did leave plenty at the store! I will be glad to drop one in the mail to you. Send me a SASE. There is time,as the rebate only has to be postmarked by 1/31. E-mail me@ [email protected] and I will send you my address.
Because patience is not my middle name, and my prismacolor pencils are on back order with viking I tried the mineral spirits with my crayola pencils
Guess what ladies, it works!!! you dont need $$$$ pencils, plain old crayola branc colored pencils worked great. smooth blending and bright colors. tonight I am going to try it with my prang color pencils. I bet $ that those pencils will work just as well as the $$$$ ones. Just thought you would like to know this. Wally's world has all the crayola colors for a lot less than $40.00 from Viking and you can have instant possession of your pencils. Have fun!!!

Woo Hoo!! I'll definitely go for the Crayola pencils. I have a great set of pastel pencils, I don't need more expensive ones, my family already thinks I'm nuts.
I saw in another post that LunarLana uses the Crayola pencils. Someone asked her how she does her fabulous coloring. I believe she said she uses the mineral spirits with them.
The only reason I got the Prismacolors is that I just couldn't pass up 120 pencils for $16! Plus I was very lucky that they were not backordered here when I ordered on Saturday.
For anyone interested, they will honor the copy of the rebate form, all we need to do is to inclose the shipping and invoice papers. Wow, what a deal, you can't go wrong with $15 for 120 piece Prismacolor pencil set!
Thank you everyone for the heads up on this. I have really old Prismacolor pencils from when I was in college. They still work great but 120 at this price is too good of a deal to pass up.
Viking code QL2-3602 worked great plus I had a $10.00 off coupon so loving the deal! Now I am ready to color! Stacey
