Default Provo Eyelet setter- AWESOME

I have to report- I purchased the Provo Silent Eyelet setter after seeing discussion of it here- I was skeptical because I have the Big Daddy one by American Tag. I admit- it isn't really called Big Daddy- but it does look like an industrial tool time type thing that belongs in the husbands garage. Anyway, I was never happy using it with SU eyelets- our eyelets are a wee bit too small and they get stuck on there.

Anyway, got this Provo thing and it totally rocks. I am so excited. I try to not deviate from SU- but this is worth it since SU doesn't sell one. For all you night-time stampers who love eyelets but don't want to wake up the kids- it's the best $17.95 you'll spend.

Great to know. I need something like that to take to workshops because a lot of the ladies don't like you "pounding" on their tables or counters even with a mat. Hope SU! starts to sell something like that.

i saw the discussion on this a while ago as well but I never did find out how this thing works! so, is it one that you lift something and it "bangs"down and flattens the eyelet, or is it a twist type action? I watched a demo someone posted on a different brand & it still seemed to make quite a loud bang when you let go of the springy thing - ok sorry for the horrible discriptions!! So...how does it really work? & is it quiet enough for me to use in the room beside my DS who is a really light sleeper??

Default silent setter

It is the twist type. I got mine at Hobby lobby and I love it. It is so nice because you do not have to wake the children when you are using it.

I got it about a week ago too! It is totally awesome - absolutely no noise at all and easy to use. I got it at crazyscraps.com for 16.99.
