Can you buy their products anywhere besides their website? I'm assuming not. I really want a couple of their interactive dies, especially the zipper one. Anyone who has any of the interactive dies, do you use them?
I like the idea of the zipper die but I'm a cheapskate and wouldn't shell out for something that if I'm honest I'd probably only use a few times. There are other ways you could achieve the same effect - use a sewing machine with no thread or a tracing wheel to pierce regular holes along the two lines and punch out a notch at one end if you want a notch, for example. If you don't have those tools you could pierce by hand if you have the patience, just use a ruler or something like a piece of plastic canvas to keep the holes evenly spaced and in a straight line as you push the piercing tool (or map pin!) through the paper.
PTI is direct sales only. Other places where you can find their product: Ebay, Etsy, etc.
I adore their products, but am abhorred by their customer service. Thus, my business goes to other companies, unfortunately. There's a thread about other people having frustrations with PTI and so far, it doesn't look like much has changed at PTI. I would definitely give them a second chance, if I saw improvement with how they treat their customers.
You may want to check out the buy/sell/trade section on the PTI forum. There are always lots of stuff for sale there. I was frustrated with the constant out of stock issues etc with PTI and found many of the sets I wanted were available on the buy/sell section. I was able to get what I wanted for less $$$ than I would have paid PTI for.
I have read the other threads so I thought I would see ifmtheynwere sold elsewhere. I like the ease of using the dies instead of having to do it I looked here and on eBay for them. I will check Etsy before I try their site. Thanks. Anyone that has any of their interactive dies that has an opinion on them?
I have both the zipper dies and the slider dies and love them. There are a couple examples using the slider dies in my gallery if you are interested. I also just posted another one on my blog today. I recently taught a class with the zipper die and it was a big hit. They are easy to use and a lot of fun.
I have never had a problem with PTI.
With that out of the way - a couple of Friends have the 'zipper' die and LOVE it!!
I haven't had the opportunity to use them yet.
Guess I'll have to bite the bullet and order the die and stamps.
