Default question on 8.5x11 SU postbound albums

how many pages fit in these?

what does the spine look like when it is expanded?? can you see the "hole" marks when it is expanded? this bothers me on several brands of albums\

I can't stand the page style on CM albums!!! I would consider it, but I just am annoyed by the page style, kwim? I like top loading page protectors.... I have no idea how SU albums look expanded, though....

I would like to know this too. I've been considering getting some but couldn't decide which color I wanted for the leather!

I have never had a stampin up album that got that fat yet, but I will soon! If you don't like that look, perhaps you could cut some fabric and cover the binding piece once the album has reached the desired max load and just cut holes big enough for the posts. But I'll have to look at the album at my sister's house. It seems like they have more built in slack than a pioneer album.

I just ran upstairs and counted the number of pages in the book I"m working on. I have 20 regular top loading page protectors, plus two page protectors that are the panoramic style. The book is thick, but the spine cover looks fine. It did take a week or so before it molded into its new shape (wider bend.) Oh! I also have those cardboard strip-thingy's that help the pages lay flat...can't think of the real name for them. Plus post extenders.

Kimberly ~ they are $28
http://www.creativememories.com/Prod...47783&igid=116 (my friend and CMC's Website)

I just like CM better because I do NOT like top loading albums - it annoys me when I go to turn the page and the stuff slips out and I do not want all those dust bunnies to live in there with my beautiful pages....see at my house I hate dusting and if you have top loading pages the dust can drop in there.... Albums and adhesives are the two things that I DO NOT get anything other than CM .... I was a CMC but not one that is so very picky about everything - I do stamp in my albums and use some other products...

I know that did not answer your question about the SU albums sorry for that but I just have to share my 2 cents!!!

Kimberly,
Good idea! What are you converting from??
The CM albums hold up to 2 additional refill page pkgs so 45 pages total but I personally like about 35 or so depending on the thickness of the book....

I'm going to go from leather 3-ring albums to the SU albums..... I'm not loving 3 ring, because they end up getting bent when dd/dh puts them away incorrectly!

Got it! I do not like 3 ring either - for many reasons as well!

Have fun!!

I have been using top-loading for years and there is no dust in my pages even though I am dust-challenged. If you keep them in a cabinet, there is not that much dust getting to them and if they are closed there really isn't enough room for dust to fall down in the protector.
