Default question about crystal effects

I'm making a bunch of cards for a swap and am using CE for the first time. It takes such a long time to dry I was wondering if using the heat embossing tool would work.

Would using this help or just ruin the card?

thanks

I would think that if you were making a bunch of cards, by the time you were done applying the CE the first ones would be dry. I wouldn't use an embossing gun...I would think a hair dryer at the least. However depending on how thick you are applying it, it should dry within 5 minutes. I learned that if you apply the same amount to a scrap piece of paper that you are applying to your card, you can check that scrap for dryness..therefore not risk messing up your card...just a really neat FYI I picked up somewhere.

Someone on here posted to feel the back of the CE area. If it feels cold it is not dry.
The thicker the CE is the longer it takes to dry. I had some I put curled paper clips on for ornaments, they took overnight.

NO, it'll ruin the card! It'll make the CE bubble. You may want to try using a couple thinner coats to get it to dry faster....

The first time I used CE I let it dry for 3-4 hours before picking up the card. Although it seemed dry, the smooth finish of the CE was marred when it was packed with other items. Now I let CE dry and cure (24 hours) before disturbing. Is this too extreme?

I let that stuff dry forever, too. I'd rather do that than take the chance it gets screwed up.

I'll just do it all at once and then leave it overnite before doing anything else. I do have lots of time for before it's due to be mailed.
