Default Question about punches in Stampin mini

I can't get hold of my SU demo right now and I'd like to know if the 1/4 inch circle and square punches are hand held or the thumb punches? Can they be used to get into the middle of the Alphabits stamped image? Hope that made sense!

In case you are wondering-I don't have a mini and they aren't shown on the website.

Default Punches

They are thumb punches and they only go in a little ways. I usually just cut or tear to where I need to punch to go. I love them! HTH! Kara

Default Spring Mini--Punches

I own both of these punches...LOVE them! They are the same wonderful lever-type as the larger punches. No, they don't reach all the letters, but I just cut the rows of letters apart so that I can reach what I need easily!
